About the property

3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, Sleeps 5

A charming 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home located in the heart of Downtown Flagstaff! This lovely house has a private front driveway, with a back yard that has access to the Flagstaff downtown area. It is just a short one hour drive to Sedona, less than two hours to the Grand Canyon, and near the Snowbowl Ski Resort. If you enjoy the great outdoors, endless trails to hike and bike are close by. This one level cottage is a perfect get-away for one couple, two couples, a small family, or anyone looking to enjoy the Flagstaff area! And parents of NAU students or NAU alumni, you know that this is the perfect place for you!

This home has been thoroughly updated throughout, and features a recently remodeled, fully stocked kitchen. The front entrance living area provides a warm and comfortable leather couch, recliner, gas fireplace, 60-inch flat screen TV, complete with cable, DVD player and Wifi. The center dining area has a high-top table with additional seating at the side bar. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed, cable equipped, large flat screen TV, large dresser, a closet with lots of room, and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a full-sized bed and a connected bathroom. This bathroom is shared with a 1/2 bedroom that provides a single bed, which is great for kids or a single adult.

Additional amenities include a washer and dryer, which are perfect so that you come home with only clean clothes, or for drying some wet snow gear. The modern dish washer and large water heater ensure that dishes come out clean and everyone has plenty of hot water for showers after a fun-filled day! The connected garage has plenty of room for storage and provides great security for bikes and ski gear. New dual pane windows ensure that the house stays warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The private, pet safe back yard (dogs welcome under 25 lbs with an additional $40.00 non-refundable deposit) has a spacious outdoor deck with an outdoor table and chairs, and a BBQ are just some of the features that will keep you comfortable both inside and out!

During the summer peak season, our rates are slightly higher and there is a 2 night minimum stay, but welcome weekly and monthly visitors. This home is a favorite retreat since it is located in the historic downtown district. It relieves our guests of having to worry about parking, or driving. Other areas of interest; Historic Route 66, Sunset Crater, Wupatki Ruins and Walnut Canyon. There is access to an endless amount of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and specialty shopping in the downtown area. Wheeler Park, which host many festivals, including a Sunday Farmer's market and special events, are within one block walking distance.

Yes, you have found it – The perfect Flagstaff get-away!

About Constance Clark

I am an Arizona native and a NAU Alumni, dreamed of owning a home in downtown to be central to everything I need. I love good food, laugh with the locals, ride my mountain bike and to escaping Phoenix when I can't breathe from the heat.

Why Constance Clark chose Flagstaff

This home is one block from downtown Flagstaff, never have to drive or get frustrated with trying to find downtown parking. NAU parents will appreciate the easy walk to NAU campus.

What makes this house unique

Historical neighborhood, Wheeler Park that hosts a special event just about every weekend, not to mention a Sunday's Farmer's Market (seasonal). Get your kicks on Route 66 is a catchy song. Every time I see the San Francisco Peaks my heart is happy. The house is comfortable without all the cluster, simple is always best. The remodeled kitchen with the glass cabinets and new counter tops pull the entire home together. New double pane windows to let in the fresh air in but keep the winter out. New water heater for endless hot shower after a cold day of skiing, hiking or biking. Huge parking spaces in front of the house so you never have to fight for street space. Walk one block to some of the most amazing restaurants; personal favorite restaurant are the Lumberyard Brewing Co and Pasto's, and who can resist the historic 1927 Monte Vista Hotel classic lounge in the basement for live entertainment every night.

Wonderful cottage!

  • 5 of 5

We (three adults and one teenager) spent two night in this great cottage! A beautiful space, wonderfully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked for all cooking needs, and we even had fun with some of the board games one evening. Close to downtown Flagstaff (we walked for ice cream one evening) and also a great jumping off point for the National Parks (our intended purpose). Would stay again in a heartbeat if we had reason to be back in Flagstaff!

Amazing experience!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful home, stayed for our anniversary and had a romantic getaway! The bathroom was in great condition, I cant wait to come back again! The back yard had a cute patio, great for hanging out and watching the beautiful Arizona sunset. Connie was a fantastic host and she really put a lot of attention to detail and love into this lovely cottage! Thank you again Connie!

Another great stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our second time staying here for a girls get away and another stellar stay. They have thought of everything down to the cutest decor details and creature comforts. We will be back again next year! Bonus - super convenient location. Just walk straight up Cherry Street for a fantastic hike in Lowell Observatory and it's walking distance to all the restaurants and bars downtown.

House falling a part

  • 1 of 5

The house is in a great location and is overall nice. However, I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from booking this place. This is an old house and when I took a shower the soap dish literally fell out of the wall with crumbling sheet rock and rotten studs behind. After telling her immediately she told me "don't worry" and "sorry you only have one shower". Then after check out I lost all of my deposit. She also said this was a $200 dollar fix, which tells me she will likely only repair the broken tiles not all of the shower tiles which means the next person who sets something on the soap dish will experience the same thing.

Furthermore, she accused us of smoking, something I have literally NEVER done in my life. I think her "handyman" smelled of smoke when he came to look at the shower and she charged us for it!

I think it is utterly ridiculous to be charged something for damage that is the result of the condition of the house, not because of our negligence. On top of the fact that she said "don't worry". I think she is a liar and do not pay the deposit to stay here!

I have never had an issue with VRBO stays and find this all completely appalling. I have stayed at other VRBOs in Flagstaff and I highly recommend you stay elsewhere to avoid this possibility.

Owner's Response: Dear Camille, During the 4 years that I have offered our home on VRBO/Homeaway, the safety and comfort of my guests has been a priority and this would be my first time ever responding to a guest review. I have over 70+ guest "5 star reviews" by both new and returning guests which attests to my level of concern, attention to detail, professionalism and the merits of the house itself. Your title of "House Falling Apart" is offensive, since your review stated that the house is "overall nice". A problem in a bath, does not mean the "House is Falling Apart". Our home is advertised 100% in the title "Historic Downtown Flagstaff" vintage home which means that there is always a possibility that things could go wrong, but troubles can occur in a house of any age. The tile/soap dish has been resolved. I feel the attack on my house and character was unwarranted, and I hope all future guests will look at my previous excellent history as being a responsible home owner and understand that in life there are two sides of a story when facts are presented. I am sorry you felt you were treated unfairly with the circumstances. Thank you for your feedback. Constance Clark

Very clean and well equipped.

  • 4 of 5

Place was great unfortunately there was small party or something next door & someone blocked the driveway so we had trouble getting in & out. It wasn’t loud but just an inconvenience everytime we left & came back due to the car there all day & all night.
