4 bedroom/3 bath main house; optional 1 bedroom/bath guest house 766952
Bruadair's (Scottish Gaelic for 'dream') open floor plan allows everyone to gather in a common space with water views abounding or retreat to your own nook while its exquisite new (optional) guest house (listing 766952) gives others privacy.
Three bedrooms and 2 baths are located on the main, living level while the spacious master bedroom is upstairs with its own large bath, shower and whirlpool tub. The optional guest house adds another bedroom and bath (separate rental 766952), which could bring the total to 5 bedrooms and 4 baths.
Bruadair has a beautiful deck overlooking the water, plus a large screened-in porch provides great breezes and water views, too. Glass doors highlight the views whether you are cooking, playing games, reading or watching television. Step out the glass sliders, three steps down the deck and the private beach awaits you.
With 2 kayaks and 4 bicycles included in the rental, touring the Bay, the estuaries or the Park is a breeze. Ospreys, herons, bald eagles, pelicans and other natural beauties are outside the door or tucked away in nearby estuaries where kayaking in a peaceful setting is magnificent.
Scotland Yards makes your stay easy. We provide guests with towels, linens, kitchen supplies, paper towels, soaps, shampoo and everything you need to truly get away. Just bring yourselves and your food and your personal effects.
Our guests frequently comment that the rarely want to leave once they arrive. For those who so choose to venture out, a lovely local winery, historic St Mary's City, various historical plantations and other destinations such as Solomon's Island, Leonardtown and St. George's Island provide entertainment.
Young children love the Calvert Marine Museum, about 30 miles away on Solomon's Island.
With a private beach in front while nestled in a wooded, small beach community, guests have the best of woods and water. This is not a boardwalk! But, If you want luxury accommodations, waves lulling you to sleep, kayaking and otherwise enjoying a secluded beach setting, Bruadair and its guest house beckon you.

About Peggy Binzel
Hail from Duncan, Oklahoma but in love with the water. My dream is to restore Chesapeake Bay beach homes, return native landscaping and provide guests with a luxury beach home in a natural setting to relax, unwind, recharge and enjoy friends and family.
Peggy Binzel purchased this Cottage in 2013
Why Peggy Binzel chose Point Lookout
Scotland is a magical place. Waking up on your own private beach every morning with native plants, flowers and the sound of the waves is priceless.

Loved the properties and can’t wait to go back.
Beautiful area. Beatiful space and place, incredibly well designed homes. We always have a great time and can’t wait to go back
Clean, spacious and well decorated.
My family and I were very impressed with this house. The house itself is beautiful inside and out. We booked this house very last minute. We were in the process of wrapping up a great vacation at another beautiful beach house in Virgina Beach and decided to extend our vacation time. We literally booked this house at 11 pm the night before and we received communication from Peggy that evening! My family and I want to thank Peggy for her time, flexibility and kindness. The children had a blast on the beach and the adults had a great time sitting on the deck watching the children and admiring the beautiful view. The kitchen is well equipped with pans, skillet and pots for basic cooking. We tried our luck fishing and crabbing for 2 days on the pier/dock and we didn't catch anything. Other cool thing is there are large predatory birds (Hawks or ospreys?) flying around and we we're lucky enough to witness one drive and catch fish out of the water!
The only two things I would improve are having a better kitchen vent and add a better lock in the bedroom that faces the beach. This is also the best bedroom because you can view the sun rising out of the ocean!
Overall, I highly recommend this house for any family. Great location and plenty of rooms and bathrooms for convenience. We can't wait to stay here again!
Beautiful home with great views and beach access
Loved the house, location and views. The house is spacious and beautifully designed. Responsive owner and property managers. We will be back.
We four mature girls had a great time. Wonderful location, big open house. The bedrooms were spacious, the beds very comfortable with fresh clean white bed clothes. The towels large and thick and plenty of bathrooms. wonderful kitchen and panoramic views . Relaxing and will visit again.
Beautiful house right on the beach
This is our second year doing a winter trip to the house. It is a wonderful house with everything we need and the managers were very responsive in bringing over cribs and a high chair before we got there. The master suite is huge and very nice and the other bedrooms are lovely. The glass window bedroom needed a space heater, but with that you could feel like you were on the beach right in bed. There is not much to do in the area in winter, but for either a romantic retreat or a family vacation where you want to dig in/walk on the beach and play games, it is a good option. Point lookout park has a playground and some grassy areas for running/playing also.
Great location and seclusion
A quiet and tranquil getaway for someone desiring to forget and disconnect from hussle and bussle.
Scotland is rich in history; only 10 miles from the original capital of Maryland and 3 miles from Pt. Lookout State park - a Civil War POW site. For waterlovers, the Bay, the Potomac, the Patuxent and beautiful creek and estuaries abound. A perfect 'away' destination.
