Excellent interior, living with French terracotta, Sweden stove, bedrooms with comfortable box spring beds and oak floor, full equipped new kitchen, bathroom with shower, 2 terraces, garden, swimming-pond 7 x 15 m. Biking and walking ways directly starting from the house. Aachen (D), Maastricht (NL), and Luettich (B) are with their objects of interest and the typical flair delightful trip goals. You will discover a place in Europe with the three languages German, French and Netherlands as well as the typical regional restaurants inspired by French cuisine.

Great house in a great area!

This house was an absolute delight to stay in. It is positioned at the front part of an extended and renovated farm house, with it's own parking area directly in front of the house. The rooms are bright and tastefully decorated, and the views from the bedrooms are stunning as you look across the lush green Belgium hills. The kitchen has a full oven and 4 electric hot-plates complemented by good quality cooking equipment to allow for full self-catering. The beds are the most comfortable we have ever slept in, and even the fold out divan is of an excellent standard.

The garden is beautifully landscaped and complemented by a large pool and pond complex, accessed by large glass sliding doors from the front and side of the house.

The local village is delightful, with a very welcoming pub. The small local supermarket has a surprisingly good range of products, with fair prices, and the church is worth a visit as it stands in the centre of the town.

All contact with the owners, from the initial enquiry to the booking and throughout our week's stay, was made easy by the fact that both Stephanie and Roland speak fluent English, French and German. They made themselves available for any enquiries at all times, and were either at the property or contactable via mobile phone.

They were extremely helpful in all areas and provided assistance in planning our activities for the week.

We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. As a family it met all our needs, but would be just as appealing to couples.

Lovely property

We stayed in the Pond House this spring and the house was just as nice as it looks on the pictures, even better. The weather was horrible and our daughter wasn't feeling well so we ended up spending a couple of days inside and enjoyed it a lot. The house is equipped with all the necessities and more, kitchen allowed us to cook full dinners, bathroom provided crispy white towels. Our favorite was wood stove that made for cozy evenings.

The house is located in a picturesque setting albeit a bit of a drive off the beaten path but the drive is really worth it. It is located close enough to the cities to make it a good base for exploring Aachen and Maastricht and nearby towns.

Would highly recommend it.

Charming!

It was our family vacation and we enjoyed this house very much. It is even better and bigger than it is on the picture. The kitchen is equipped perfectly and the first floor is very cozy. It was a pleasure to return home after long walks to relax in this calm area.

Fijn huis, voorzien van alle gemakken. Eigenaren wonen ernaast. Fijne service!

We hadden best slecht weer maar ook dan is het lekker vertoeven bij de houtkachel😀

Familienurlaub mit aktivem und kulturellem Programm

Sehr ruhig u idyllisch gelegenes Ferienhaus und sehr gepflegte Anlage. Außerhalb des Ortes gelegen, Bäcker u kl Lebensmittelladen gut erreichbar.

Für Kinder gibt es in 500m Entfernung eine sehr nette Reitmöglichkeit (begleitetes Reiten im Gelände, 1 kl Ponny u ein sehr lieber Schimmel).

Die Ferienwohnung war großzügig für 4 Personen (2 getrennte Schlafzimmer mit komfortablen Betten) u die Ausstattung gut. Schön auch der Kamin, Holz kann gegen Bezahlung erworben werden).

Wunderbare Umgebung zum Radfahrern! Viele Strecken naturnah u die stillgelegten Bahntrassen auch mit Kindern gut zu bewältigen! Für die Profis gibt es ebenfalls genügend anspruchsvolle Strecken u Belgien ist ein sehr Bike-freundliches Land!

Für kulturell Interessierte liegt das Ferienhaus ideal, interessante kleinere u größere Städte innerhalb 20-45 min erreichbar mit d Auto.

Wir haben die Tage sehr genossen und kommen sicher wieder!

Pudelwohl

Ich war in Aachen zur EM im August und habe mich während des Aufenthalts in dem Ferienhaus einfach pudelwohl gefühlt.Es fehlte an nichts und die Vermieter waren sehr Nett und Hilfsbereit. Dort war ein sehr schöner Schwimmteich im Garten und eine idyllische Ruhe. Wenn ich mal wieder in Aachen bin, würde ich sehr gern nochmal wiederkommen.

Hombourg is small village , pictorial convenient on the hill back between Gulp and Göhl. Baker's shop, grocer's shop, pharmacy as well as the Hombourger Brasserie “Au Grain D'Orge” with brewed Belgian beers and a pretty restaurant ' Le cochon embouteille' are in the local centre approximately around the church.
