Why Scott chose Huron

The minute I walked into this house and saw the lake I knew I was home. I purchased the house and immediately began to renovated it. I lived here for 7 years and loved every minute of it. After building a new house close by I could not bring myself to sell it, I knew that it would be a great house for people vacationing here on the North Coast.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"The house is great!! Very peaceful and quiet. Great location!! Great people to work with, couldn't be nicer!!"

Rustic Lake View Cottage

  • 4 of 5

Cottage is charming. We enjoyed the deck in the morning and evening with the lake breezes. The lake view was very relaxing with lots of boating activity to see. The rest of the day was spent at Nickel Plate Beach, which has great sand and is shallow a ways out for young visitors. Great location for Cedar Point and historic Huron.

Would recommend.

Very nice place to meet up with family and enjoy the lake view

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for three nights as an extended weekend. It was the perfect size for our family of 4 to meet up with our sisters family of 5. We really enjoyed sitting on the back patio with the lake view. Scott met us when we arrived and was very friendly and helpful. There were a few things we forgot to bring along (salt, pepper and dish soap) and we were glad to find that each of our missing items was available at the rental house. The rental was not as fancy or new as some of the rentals in the area, but it was comfortable and had everything we needed for a great price. This home is very convenient to the lake and also to Cedar Point. We spent one day at each and had a great trip!

Nice little older bungalo with original wood floors thru most of the house.

  • 4 of 5

Would have received 5 stars for the visit, needs a bit more house cleaning to get rid of the spider webs in corners and all over the windows. Front yard is fenced in and big enough for 2 games of cornhole or cookouts. Lakeview is just that, no comfortable access to shore other than thru neighbors yards. Nice location to some good restaurants, and the park. Quiet house and yard, bedrooms aren't huge but there is room to walk around and get situated. Not much outdoor seating, bring some bag chairs. I would go back again.

A lovely stay

  • 5 of 5

very nice place with a lovely view of the lake. It was clean and comfortable! Only drawback is the yard off the deck is only a few feet and with kids it was hard to monitor them let alone have a game of catch or anything. There is a side yard available though and a small fenced in yard in the front.

For twelve people, 3 bathrooms would have been nice.

The neighbor behind this house was very nice to let us sit on bench to gaze at the lake.

Overall a very nice place to stay!

cat house very disgusting DO NOT STAY HERE

  • 1 of 5

when we arrived at thehouse the smell of cat was so over whelming that we opened all the windows had to clean the patio furniture to sit outside to escape the smell the cat hair was on everything, rat droppings in the cupboards, the house in my opinion should be burned down to get the smell and hair out of it, PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE IT IS A COMPLETE DISASTER

Owner's Response: We did not hesitate to provide this group a full refund because the house was not up to our standards that we have provided our guest for the past 14 years. His group did not stay in the home. Unfortunately, we were caught with a long term renter who could not move out until the day before his group would arrive and did not leave us with the time needed to prepare the house properly. We have had the house completed cleaned by professionals immediately to bring it back up to our standards. I pride my self in a great home and will continue to do so in the future.
