Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great time at your vacation home. The cabin was lovely, the weather amazing, and Leavenworth was already all decked out for Christmas. Thanks for sharing your home with us and for the welcoming chocolates and champagne.

Very roomy cabin in an excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We just got back from a very relaxing week in Leavenworth. The views from the property are wonderful and it feels so private despite being so walkable to Leavenworth. We had a great time and there was so much more sleeping space than we needed.

The property was beautiful with amazing mountain views! Very cozy!

  • 5 of 5

The property was just as described, very comfy and cozy with plenty of space for 10 people. The hot tub was a bit more confusing to figure out in the dark, but we managed to figure it out. The mountain views were incredible! Walking distance to town and less than 10 minute walk to Safeway. Thank you for having us!

Comfortable and clean. Had everything we needed. We were a party of 8 adults. Two bedrooms and a loft space slept everyone easily. Nice hot tub out back to relax in after skiing.

Beautiful and Unforgettable

  • 5 of 5

The house was simple to get to. As its located close to town (walking distance) you do not feel like you are in a neighborhood as all the houses are properly situated and on a slope. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The driveway was very private and accommodated our SUV's easily. It does have a 3 sided enclosed carport full of cut wood for the winter visit. The outside covered porches on both sides of the house are huge and perfect for any outdoor living and use. Access and entry was meticulously explained, exact and very simple. The house greeted us with heat upon entry. ( We were there for Winter Festival and it was 12 degrees outside) Our view of the mountains and then what was the most breathtaking winter sunrise at the back of the house through the glass doors can't even be described. Nothing what we expected and pleasantly surprising. We did not use the hot tub however did check it out and of course was warmingly inviting. The kitchen was fully equipped for all 3 meals of the day. The master bedroom with bathroom was so comfortable. I have trouble sleeping away from home however no issue at Briarpatch. The Queen size bed was top end for comfort and warmth. I only heard the same positive experience and comfort levels from my house mates as well. The dining room table easily and comfortably accommodated all 8 of us for meals and games. The TV does not have cable or satellite services but we were not there to watch TV and it does directly guide you to Netflix for movies. As our weekend was playoff weekend we utilized one of the comfortable sports bars in town. It's clear the homeowners take great care and pride in Briarpatch as it was impeccably clean, organized and very efficient. They were also available and easily accessible during our stay via email or phone and answered our questions very quickly. (Just had a thermostat question) We undoubtedly will be booking Briarpatch again and soon as we visit the area every Summer and Winter. For Summer I am excited as we ride our motorcycles and the covered parking gives us sense of security and privacy as we prefer to stay away from motel parking lots with our bikes.

Perfect getaway home; convenient to town; cozy but ample space for family visit

  • 5 of 5

We had a perfect week at Briarpatch over Christmas 2016. If it's possible, the pictures don't do the cabin justice. It is rustic in feel and yet entirely comfortable. Our party totaled 4 adults and 5 children on a couple of nights and we easily fit in the sleeping accommodations. Kitchen and linens are more than adequate. We enjoyed a sledding hill outside that we weren't expecting, and one of us even tested out the hot tub (the others would have enjoyed this feature in warmer seasons). We loved the location, just a few minutes drive from town (or a very reasonable walk - especially, again, in spring/summer/fall). We would love to return again one day and cherish the memories we spent in this lovely home.
