Overview

About the property

3 bedroom, 2 bath home steps from everything on the peninsula. Quiet & Private.

You can't beat this location along with two off street parking spots and a quiet backyard living space. Our beautiful home was totally renovated in 2010 complete with high end finishes and luxury furnishings. This is a fully furnished 3 bedroom and 2 bath freestanding home.

Located just 2 blocks to Marion Square, King St, the aquarium, water taxi and ships to Fort Sumter, aircraft carrier. Less than a mile to the Market, East Bay shops and Broad St galleries. A one mile walk to the base of the Arthur Ravenel Bridge...walk to the top and see all of Charleston and the barrier islands. Only a 15 minute drive to popular Folly Beach, Sullivan's Island and Isle of Palms.

The large living area is open through the kitchen and eating area. Bars on each end of the kitchen provide a great central area to hang out. There is a flat screen TV and multiple windows that provide great natural light.

The master bedroom has queen bed, flat screen TV and full bath with shower tub. 2nd bedroom has queen bed with full bath adjacent including shower. Third small bedroom has two twin beds.

Everything you need for your stay is included...pots, pans, dishes, linens, hairdryer, iron and iron board, washer/dryer, soap, etc.

The great private brick walled yard that will make you think you are miles away from anywhere.

The two off street parking spots make it easy to park your car when you arrive and not move it again until you head home. You can walk to everything you need downtown.

This is a freestanding Single Family Home, not a condo. My father and I purchased this home and completely renovated it over the span of a year finishing it in 2010. It is a great house in an ideal location and we happily use it ourselves when it is not rented.

This home is located in a very private spot surrounded by mostly local Charleston residents. We ask that all visitors are very respectful of our neighbors during their stay.

SAME DAY BOOKINGS MAY BE AVAILABLE EVEN IF PROPERTY SHOWS UNAVAILABLE. VRBO does not allow same day bookings thru their system nor the ability to show that the date is available. Contact us via "Ask Owner a Question" button and we can confirm availability for same day arrivals.

About Eric

Hey, I'm Eric and along with my father Jeff, own this property. I'm a Charleston Realtor, manage my rental properties and also renovate homes including usually the one I'm living in! I've been in Charleston 10 plus years now and my wife and I, our baby girl and Portuguese Water Dog live on James Island in Riverland Terrace. When we're not here we're usually travelling up north to visit family or to Maggie Valley just outside Asheville to our mountain cabin. It's also a vacation rental so if you're headed that way be sure to ask about it. My father lives in Beaufort, SC and is a Realtor as well while being partners in most of our renovation projects. Thanks for considering our place for you vacation. You will not be disappointed. Please contact us with any questions.

Eric purchased this house in 2010

Perfect, perfect, perfect!

  • 5 of 5

First of all, when we arrived after the train was late, Eric had made sure music welcomed us on the sound system. Nice touch. We were instantly pleased with how cute this house is. We had never been to Charleston so didn't know where we were, more on that in a minute, but the house was charming and clean. Bedrooms comfortable, living room cozy, bathrooms well appointed and modern, kitchen spacious and dining area a treat. After we unpacked, we opened the back door to peek at the back yard. What a cute little oasis! Grab a book and a glass of wine or coffee and a newspaper!

We made popcorn, watched a movie and went to bed. After a comfortable nights sleep, we hit the bricks, literally! Wow, what a place Charleston is! Spectacular! The people, the sights, the history and the food. We immediately fell in love. We quickly discovered, once we got the lay of the land that all previous reviews were right! This adorable home is the perfect location! Everything is nearby yet it's nestled in a quiet area! Everything you want to see and do is minutes to the south, north east or west. No kidding. We walked everywhere. We took DASH, the free shuttle, once just to see what it was like but really no need. Besides this is a walking town! It's beautiful. The little parks and graveyards you happen upon, all the architecture, shopping. You want to walk! Even if you want to see more of Charleston like we did when we went to a plantation, you just walk a couple minutes to the visitors center where all kinds of shuttles, bus tours, etc. await.

Take advantage of the wharf right next to you and see the aquarium, haunted boat tour, Fort Sumter and the water taxi which can take you to the Yorktown.

Market is great and that's where you get the carriage rides, again, a quick walk down East Bay.

What can I tell you, so much to do. So many great restaurants. We loved, Cru, Coast, Charleston Ale House, spectacular roof top, Hom, Virginias on King and Henry's House on Market.

One final tip. There's not a lot of morning eateries in Charleston that we found, but very close is the East Bay Deli. Go there! And we also loved Jacks Cafe off King. It's an old school diner that had me thinking of Boston or New York.

Anyway...go to Charleston, rent this house, forget cars. Enjoy!

Great location. Remodeled and comfortable home with all the amenities. Parking for 2 cars in a very quiet neighborhood. We walked everywhere. Central to many activities, City Market, King St, East Bay and many restaurants and bars. Eric, thanks.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in Charleston and it was made so much easier by this accommodation as it was so central allowing us to walk everywhere. It was close to restaurants, shops and tourist sites. The house itself was very well appointed and we didn't want for anything. We would recommend it to anyone intending on visiting Charleston.

Very pleasant, comfortable place to stay and walking distance to sights.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the house and having a place to park right at the front door. It was quiet at night. The furnishings were very nice and comfortable. Loved the oversized bathtub in the master bath. We didn’t do any cooking but it would have been very easy had we chosen to do so. We will be back!

This little house was perfect for our stay!

The house was recently renovated with all the amenities that we needed. It is cute, clean, convenient to restaurants and shopping - we didn’t move the car the entire weekend. We will definitely re-book!

Perfect for our Charleston getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Came to Charleston for a cousin's wedding at the Gadsden house (only a few blocks away) and combined it with a mother/daughter long weekend (4 adult women stayed in the house) and found the house to be perfect for our needs! Walked to and from the wedding and able to access the historic district on foot (as we did not have a car) and easily got to more remote venues by Uber/Lyft). Eric's home was a perfect size, comfortable beds, very clean, well equipped (except no coffee...have always found in other VRBOs), and well laid out....we loved the private outdoor space in the back as well). It is on a side street which dead ends at the house, so for being in downtown it was very quiet (except trash morning). Would definitely love to come back and stay here again.

Eric was wonderful to contact leading up to our visit, very prompt and helpful and once there, we had no needs or issues, so no further contact was needed....it was a perfect stay!
