Great Family Cabin and Clean

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time and will definitely be going back. The cabin was extremely clean and very family friendly. Brittany was wonderful to work with and very responsive. The location is ideal as well and you have close access to great hiking and the lake.

We will definitely stay here again.

Relaxing and Peaceful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I came up to the Bear Den for the first time to celebrate our 36th anniversary. We've both been overwhelmed by stress and life and needed a relaxing and peaceful retreat. That is exactly what Brittany at the Bear Den had to offer.

The place is adorable and has all of the amenities you would need for a relaxing stay. We decided to just bring food and prepare it there and the kitchen was amply supplied for our needs. Morning coffee on the deck, late afternoon wine and cheese and stargazing at night all lent itself to decompressing.

This retreat is centrally located and an easy walk to Chamber's Landing, where we enjoyed their famous Chamber's Landing Rum Punch (yum!) and then hung out at the beach.

Brittany even left us a bottle of wine and some popcorn for our enjoyment. Such a nice touch! We will definitely be back!

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Bear Den. This was our first trip to Lake Tahoe. This location was close to so many activities, yet a peaceful retreat to return to in the evening. Loved our hike to Eagle Lake. Highlight for our 11 year old grandson was the ropes course at Tahoe City. Of course, a nighttime visit from a real bear was high on the list too! Brittany was very responsive to any questions we had, and the house was spotless. Thanks Brittany!

3 Time Winner

  • 5 of 5

We just finished our third stay in the Bear Den. Once again this house was immaculate. The welcome gift was greatly appreciated after spending hours on the road. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, glasses, cups, cooking utensils, silverware, etc. All are kept clean and useable. The TV and Internet are fast and reliable. The beds are quite comfortable. The important things like light switches and other helpful hints are well labeled. The location in a quiet neighborhood is great. It's just far enough from Highway 89 so that the noise from that road doesn't reach the house yet it's near enough to the lake that you don't have to drive forever to get anywhere. The deck in back of the house is huge. It's great for spending an afternoon reading, playing games, or just sitting. Communication with the owner is great. Brittany responds to emails rapidly.

We had such a great time! The cabin is newly updated, very clean and charming. It had everything we needed for a comfy stay. The owner Brittany responded quickly to emails I sent with questions and you can tell she puts a lot of effort into making the cabin a great place for guests. Definitely recommend and would stay again.
