Are you looking to experience the real Barcelona, not just the one found in tourist guides? Our family apartment will soon make you feel at home.The apartment is perfectly located, with walking distance to many attractions in the city, as well as being in a neighbourhood which has a vibrant local community.

Just 5 minutes walk far from the FIRA (where major exhibitions take place) and Monjuich Mountain Museums (Miró, Caixa Forum, MNAC). You can also take the bus or metro (just 1 minute away) and you will be in Plaza Cataluña in less than 4 stops. The coast and beaches are also a short bus ride or 15 minute walk.

It’s a great location for food lovers. We are a 5 minute walk from a huge indoor foodm, Sant Antoni Market, selling the best that Spain has to offer in seasonal produce. It takes 90 minutes to walk round it browsing. We buy most of our fresh produce here, fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, pulses and more. If you want a break from shopping, stop for a glass of cava and a small bite at one of the many cafes in the market. As well as being a great place to cook, it’s a great location for eating out.

The apartment is in the heart of a neighbourhood where the best TAPAS bars are located (Tickets and Bodega 1900 by Ferran Adria, Lolita, Bohemic, Casa Lucio, Federal Cafe and the recently opened Pakta).

Our spacious, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment has recently been renovated to a very high standard. With an open plan living space suitable for entertaining up to 6 people, we have also had the kitchen replaced and created a separate breakfast bar area for informal eating. Our living room is very bright and spacious, which makes a great space for relaxing.

The large kitchen has a gas cooker, large fridge and freezer, dishwasher and wine fridge (we offer a wide range of local wines from our wine fridge). Fabio and I love cooking and entertaining friends so our kitchen caters for cooking lovers. There are plenty of cupboards to be filled with everything you need to cook whatever takes you fancy.

There are 3 bedrooms:

Master bedroom: with a double bed and a balcony.

2nd bedroom: with bunk beds and a balcony

3rd bedroom: with 2 individual beds.

We also have 2 bathrooms: one with a large bathtub and shower over the tub, and another one with a standing shower.

Linen and towels are included in the price.

Most of the time we are away, but our friends in the city will be very happy to welcome you and show you the best way to enjoy your time.

We have kids, so we can offer you a high-chair or a cot if you need it, and plenty of child friendly cutlery.

Our home is your home, so look after it like if it would be yours!

No partying and no noise in late night hours. Our building is calm and family oriented, and we like to respect that.

Our flat is a fully licensed touristic flat and is registered with the Direcció General de Turisme (Regional Tourist Office) under the number: HUTB-001955.

About Fabio

Sara grew up in Madrid where she qualified as a veterinarian and now works in South of France, close to Montpellier for a major pet food company.

I (Fabio) grew up in Paris where I also qualified as a veterinarian and currently run a translation agency specialised in animal health and veterinary texts.

We used to live in Barcelona for 7 years where we had 2 lovely children (Claudia 7 years old and Ilan 4 years old) and have worked to buy and create this lovely family apartment (we've put lots of love into it).

We both simply love food (especially Spanish food) and that's the probably the reason why we chose this neighborhood and have opted for a large kitchen super friendly kitchen which is at the heart of our apartment but also at the heart of our way of living.

Fabio purchased this apartment in 2006

Why Fabio chose Sant Antoni

We bought the flat in 2006 where we were still in Barcelona with the aim of making it a super family home and we believe this is what we've achieved though the years. We lived there for almost 7 years and we've improved the flat every single year. We've been very happy and saw our 2 kids growing there. The neighborhood is simply a great area to live and where we had and still have many many friends. We enjoyed not only the family style living but also the great bars and restaurants around the flat.

What makes this apartment unique

The flat is a typical 1930's Barcelona Eixample flat with a very large entry hall and high ceiling which made us at ease from the first sight. The flat spreads across the whole building (from both ends) which makes it a super large flat where our kids could play, run and enjoy life.

During our years there, we felt we needed a bigger kitchen which we built as the centre of the flat and made it as friendly for food lovers as possible.

The apartment is in a wonderful neighborhood with close access to two different metro stations.

Fabio was a very responsive host and the apartment was very comfortable for our group of five adults (1 couple, 3 singles). One bedroom had bunk beds but the bottom bunk was large and comfortable enough for a small adult woman. The queen bed and other two twin beds were very comfortable. The twin bedroom did not have a closet or much storage for clothing but the other bedrooms did. The kitchen was well equipped and bright, and the living and dining areas were spacious but dimly lit. Washing machine and good drying racks and lines were useful since we were staying for a week. The neighborhood is great, very residential with lots of good restaurants, shops for fruit, bread, wine right next door, banks on the corner. Having two metro lines close was a big plus for getting around the city. There are a set of steps before you get to the elevator for anyone with mobility issues. Overall, would definitely recommend Fabio’s place for a family or group of friends and would stay there again myself.

Amazing location

This apartment was clean and in an amazing location. Walk to any one of the many restaurants and stores in the area. A short taxi to the airport as well. I highly recommend!!!!

Spacious apartment in a wonderful location. Metro stop closeby and only a 20-30 minute walk to La Rambla. Fabio and Pascal were quick to respond to any questions/concerns. Great neighborhood with a small market and good restaurants/bars closeby. This was our first trip to Barcelona and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Spacious Flat in an Ideal Location

You get a lot of bang for your buck with this flat – from the moment you enter the main door you know you’re in Europe - beautiful marble stairs, high ceilings and the lift. The flat is as advertised – clean, spacious with modern décor furnishings including comfortable beds and a welcoming view from 2 bedrooms. The best was the location – the metro (2 min walk) and being in an authentic, friendly neighborhood, yet so close to the city center La Rambla area and other touristy sites; simply an ideal location! Excellent communication with Fabio and Sol – all inquires answered quickly. Fabio/Sol was so thoughtful, I didn’t bring washcloths; they bought me a few later the same day. Awesome, right? Don’t hesitate to stay at this flat, it’s a win, win.

Roomy apartment in a great location.

Our family of four stayed in this apartment for four nights and loved it. The location is great for sightseeing because the Metro stop is just a few steps away, but the neighborhood has a nice local feel, not touristy at all. There is a little market right next door for necessities, and the famous Sant Antoni market is just a couple of blocks away. There are great restaurants just one or two buildings over, so we were able to easily go out for tapas and wine or breakfast of croissants and espresso, but the kitchen is well-equipped if you want to stay in and cook. Having a washing machine was also very handy as we packed light. Our daughters are grown, but this apartment is nicely set up if you have little ones as well . Sol met us at the apartment when we got in, and she was very helpful with lots of tips about getting around the city and things do We bought a 3 day metro pass which we were able to pick up at the airport when we arrived, so that made getting around on public transport a breeze We will definitely stay here again when we make it back to Barcelona.

Loved it!

We loved our stay here. It is exactly as pictures which is incredibly cheerfully decorated, comfortable and spacious. The location was great and we got spoiled being a stones throw from a subway stop. Nightlife in the neighborhood is great and our most enjoyable dinner was walking distance. I would definitely stay here again.
