About Michele

We are a St Louis family of four who love all the outdoor fun Breckenridge area has to offer! Our kids learned to ski/board there at just 5 and 7 yrs old! Soon we learned summer had just as much to offer in activities so we come at least twice a year!

Michele purchased this condo in 1999

Why Michele chose Breckenridge

It's big enough for family and friends and being on the top floor, quiet! The relaxing sound of the mountain stream just off the back balcony, the views out of every window and the nearness of town - you can't beat it!

What makes this condo unique

Ski in from 4 O'clock run/walk to Snowflake lift; on site ski shop; so close to town and all the shopping and restaurants; quiet with views!

Good and Bad.....but never Ugly

  • 3 of 5

Good and little bits of bad all rolled into one. Listing states 2 parking spots, but were told upon arrival there was only one provided. Had to park one car in lot that was on edge of town of Breck, therefore very inconvenient and cost was $35. We were notified next day we could now have an additional pass which we decided to take for convenience, but still hassle to get car again and now out $35. Place is nice and clean. Each bedroom and loft has box fan and humidifier which was great! Kitchen was very well stocked, however, some items need to be replaced especially some pots and pans. Coffee maker did not work. Had to hit Starbucks on the slopes first day which was pricey. We notified owner/mgmt and was immediately replaced so the rest of the week we could make our own. Day 4 we ran out of toilet paper, was not well stocked. Had to contact them again. Wanted us to pick up at office downtown, stated we were skiing all day so offered to deliver. Loft is a great set up for kids, however can get loud from noise below if anyone is trying to sleep up there while others are awake. Blind in master was broken, fixed 2nd to last day. Found a blanket to put up in the meantime. Shuttle bus has pick up right out from which is nice and can ski back right into condo. Storage lockers are nice for equipment. Hot tub was located outside of our building, but pool was across the street and down a couple buildings. Nice to have washer/dryer in unit. Never heard additional guests in building, was nice and quiet. Easy access to all downtown locations. The bad things were little, but just annoying. Didn't ruin vacation at all. Breck is a great place to go!

The 4 flights of stairs with luggage is redicilous. No elevator?

  • 2 of 5

4 flights of stairs with no elevator.

Smoke alarm was chirping when we completed the "climb". Makes you wonder how well they really inspect the place before check-in. Joseph said he came by after 8 pm which was nice, but by that time we had to remove it ourselves to keep our sanity.

Worst of all were the beds-horrible.

Owner's Response: Sorry your ONE night stay wasn't as comfortable as those who've stayed in my condo for SEVEN nights and had no complaints...

Wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This condo is very large and spacious with lots of beds. It's location is amazing, as it is about a 5 minute walk to Breckenridge's charming downtown. Also, if you have young kids, the Breckenridge Elementary School has a very nice playground (open to the public after school hours and on holidays/weekends), and is about a 10-15 minute walk from the condo. My kids loved the playground. If you like hiking, right in the backyard you can get on the 4'oclock Run (summer, when I visited) and hike up as far as you want, and can even hike 3,300 feet to the summit of Peak 8, and look down at the town of Copper Mountain on the other side of the Tenmile Range! As others have noted, this condo is at the top of the building and has lots of stairs, so that's something to keep in mind if you would have trouble with that, but this condo (as well as Breckenridge) is amazing and you won't be disappointed.
