Cozy and spacious Victorian style house in the heart of Eureka

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time staying at Ron & Melanie Kuhnel’s vacation home. It really feels like a home -- cozy and welcoming! The house is very spacious. All 5 bedrooms are in good size. Clean and comfortable beddings. There are two bathrooms, one in the first floor and one in the second floor. Fortunately at the time when we stayed both bathroom locks did not work. The living room and the family room are next to each other, giving a lot of space for family and friends to do activities together. The TV, however, is an older one. We also used the kitchen to cook our new year eve meal and found it convenient with all necessary kitchenware and utensils etc. The breakfast area in the kitchen and the dining room have enough seating for 6 people each. The house is roomy, simply comfortable. Ron was easy to communicate with. We would love to stay there again the next time when we go the redwoods.

This property is a well maintained gorgeous Victorian with lots of character.

  • 4 of 5

The house is conveniently located close to everything. It has a great two car garage and large yard. There are two dinning areas which is great for large parties. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked. The bedrooms are all upstairs and good size. We had a very enjoyable stay and would stay here again.

Charming, Central, Lots of Space

  • 5 of 5

Ron and Melanie’s place on A Street was perfect for us. Centrally located for all the hiking that we wanted to do. This house was charming, spacious, and cozy. Nice size, fenced yard. The beds were wonderful also. Having the garage was a nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

very nice and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

My sisters, mom and I had a wonderful time in Eureka at this Victorian home. This was the first time we had gotten together since our father/husband passed in January. We talked, ate breakfast, put together a puzzle and basically chilled. It was nice to have this special time and the accommodations were wonderful. Fully stocked kitchen to cook our own meals, comfy beds and a nice backyard to enjoy the early morning crispness. I would visit this home again if the opportunity arises. Thanks Ron and Melanie!

Central location and comfortable house

  • 5 of 5

My family really enjoyed staying at this property. Some areas of Eureka were a little sketchy, but we always felt safe here. My only suggestion is to spend a little money and buy a flat screen TV instead of the outdated one that is there. Newer devices won't hook up to it and limit the entertainment. Other than this minor item, it was great.

Exactly what we were looking for

  • 4 of 5

We had a family reunion with 8 adults, one 4 year old and two babies under 1. This was the perfect location between Meyer's Flat and Crescent City, which where the area's we were interested in visiting. Although we weren't to impressed with the city of Eureka, the home worked out great! We had lots of room and enjoyed our stay there. The owners were very good working with us and helping us plan our vacation.
