About Brenna

We purchased this home right before our daughter was born. We love it, but don't up to use it as much as we'd like (mostly because Daddy is a hockey coach which takes up most weekends!). We now have a daughter and a son, as well as a 4 year old black lab (who loves the backyard dog run).

Brenna purchased this cabin in 2010

Why Brenna chose Alma

We bought this home because it was only 20 minutes away from the skiing and other activities of Breckenridge, but offered a great piece of property. The home is on an acre of land, most of which is covered in beautiful aspen trees. It is also easy for us to get to- being just off highway 9, between Fairplay and Breckenridge (just south of Hoosier Pass). It is a cozy two bedroom log cabin with a great gas fireplace and a jetted tub. We love coming up to the house on weekends to just get away.

The house is close to the South Platte River (walking distance) as well as bike trails. We are an 'outdoorsy' family, and this home was the perfect match for us!

What makes this cabin unique

The views of the mountains surrounding our house sold us on this property. The two bedroom, two bath home is perfect for our family of four.

We loved the idea of sitting around the gas fireplace playing board games, and the two-person jetted tub is just great!

It was an absolute bonus for us that there is a detached garage. It's great for parking the car on a cold (snowy) day, as well as storing all our outdoor gear.

Cozy Log Cabin Short Drive To Breckenridge!

Wonderful cabin and location.

Loved our 3 week stay the last half of July. Long enough to relax and really enjoy the area. Upper 60s for the highs with rain most afternoon. Aspens in the backyard and a quiet subdivision tucked away in the mountains. Close enough to places like Breckenridge and Leadville and only 10 minutes from grocery stores and restaurants. Our dogs really enjoyed the fenced in backyard. Would happily come back.

Great Place , Located not to far from Breck

  • 4 of 5

We had a few issues when first arriving, but the owner was very responsive and took care of unforeseen things right away. The place is very nice and perfect for our family and dog for a few days. The fenced backyard is nice, short drive into Breck and some great places to eat in Fairplay. Would love to come back in the Summer sometime.

Great cabin away from the crowds

  • 5 of 5

The cabin had everything we needed and the gas fireplace was perfect for relaxing and kept the entire living room warm. This cabin is located 30min away from Breckenridge which is exactly what we wanted. The roads leading to the cabin were well maintained even after a snow fall. I never felt unsafe driving into town. I would stay here again.

Great getaway close to all the ski ranges!

  • 4 of 5

This cabin was perfect for my husband and I. We were only 30 min from Brekenridge and another 10 to Keystone, Frisco and Copper Mountain. It provided everything we needed. I would caution you that you need at least an AWD vehicle in the winter especially going through the mountains. Overall I would definitely recommend this property!

Mostly good

  • 3 of 5

It was a nice little cabin for the price. If you are allergic to pets don’t come here, there was pet hair everywhere.

Located a short 20 minute drive from the magnificent ski resort of Breckenridge, and 40 minutes to Keystone, the town of Alma is a quiet town just south of Hoosier Pass. It is the perfect place to visit in the winter for skiing/snowboarding, sledding and/or skating. In the spring, summer and fall, it is a great spot for hiking, biking, fishing and site seeing.
