This home is the Perfect Location For Family Ski Trips, Holiday Getaways And Reunions.

The Home Consists Of A Main House And An Attached Lock-Off Apartment. This listing is for rental of the Main House only. Please note, however, that we do not typically rent out the apartment when we have guests in the house (so you do not have to worry about sharing amenities such as the hot tub and deck).

About Nancy McCarthy

We are empty-nesters who greatly enjoy the Breckenridge area. Leo is an avid snow-boarder, hiker and biker. Nancy likes the snow and small-town feel, as well as the great location. We hail from Missouri and have been married for 30 years now. We both attended college at Southwest Missouri State University (that is where we met). We run a couple of businesses back in Missouri and are now venturing into the mountains.

Why Nancy McCarthy chose Historic District

Leo fell in love with this property the first time he saw it! Although it is only two blocks from downtown, it is fairly secluded on the 1/2 acre wooded lot. The home is perfect for us since it has both the Main House and the Apartment. Our children all love the Breckenridge area and love snow-boarding as well. For many years we visited (rented) and when this property became available, we decided to take the plunge and purchase a home in Breckenridge.

This home is extraordinarily spacious with the most awesome views of the mountains and ski slopes in Breckenridge! It is an upscale home with plenty of space for a large family, or several families to enjoy.

Great house for large family, walking distance to Main St and Gondola

Our family of 8 adults enjoyed this amazing property between Christmas and New Years 2016. The home is beautiful and roomy. We had two golden retrievers and an old English bull dog, with plenty of room for all, and lots of access to walking and exercise for the dogs (dog park is a short walk or even shorter drive down the road). Access to Main Street and the gondola are about a 5-10 minute walk. Home is three floors with 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. Master suite upstairs is private, with roomy bathroom and super-size closet. Tile and carpet throughout. Large kitchen is open to the great room and dining area. Huge windows face the mountains for a phenomenal view. The house is heated via radiant floor heat, and gets very warm during sunny days and cool in the evenings. This is good to know, so that you don't over-react to the temperature and have to wait a long time for the temp to regulate. We really enjoyed everything this home has to offer. We had a very pleasant neighbor staying in the connected apartment, who may have been the owner. Property management was also very good and responsive to our every request. Highly recommend this property for a little bit of something for everyone on a Breckenridge visit.

Close to town and yet you feel like you are in the woods

This property has a lovely view of the mountain, wonderful western facing deck, large great room/kitchen/dining area. The master bedroom/bath has a deck and view of the mountains. The other bedrooms were adequate, but not spacious and had less light than we expected. Few of the bedrooms had reading lights (just ceiling lights). Road noise from Wellington was noticeable when your windows/doors were open and traffic seemed to "gun it" after 8pm. Only a couple blocks from Main street so walking to events, shopping, restaurants was easy. Some minor issues with the dishwasher leaking and master closet odor. Property acknowledges an apartment adjacent to house, but in reality it is a house divided into two separate sides, you share the deck with the other side of the house, although there seemed to be no occupants during our stay. Owner and management staff were friendly and responsive. The tile floor in kitchen and bathroom drawers could have had a closer cleaning. We enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic home for our family!

We were thrilled to stay in this lovely home. With four teenagers and 6 adults it is not easy to find accommodations. This home met our needs and then some!

Plenty of beds, bathrooms and large spaces for us to gather. The view from the deck is priceless.

We are grateful to have found this lovely home for our Breckenridge visit!

Great home.

We had a wonderful time. Large comfortable home for 13 of us. Easy to walk to town and resort. Fun town with lots of great food. Most fun we could all sit together at the table for dinner. Great family bonding.
