Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for our ski weekend in Powderhorn. There was plenty of space for 9 people to spread out and feel at home. The location was perfect for accessing Powderhorn. I would recommend this property over and over.

Great family getaway

  • 4 of 5

My family met at this cabin for a small family reunion. It was a beautiful home and had most everything we needed to have a great time together. There is plenty of places to go hiking and you are also close to Mesa Lake National Forest. The only thing that would have made it better is if we could have viewed the Bronco game on the TV. There is no television at this property. It was fine with me, but other members of the family were a little upset.

Perfect Honeymoon Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at this cabin for our honeymoon. We were excited to spend a week in the mountains hiking, sledding, skiing, and exploring. This cabin provided the perfect honeymoon getaway. We were able to go out during the day and then come back to a warm cabin. The heating in the cabin worked great and the fireplace added some extra warmth on top of that. The washer and dryer helped us to come back from our honeymoon with no dirty laundry! We used the stove and oven to cook up delicious meals throughout the week. The master bedroom, with its large Sleep-Number bed, provided a wonderful night's sleep so that we were well rested to go exploring again the next day. We enjoyed the surrounding area and went to Old Powderhorn to sled and hike, Grand Junction, and Mesa. The view from the cabin is breathtaking, as you can see the mountain range. The entertainment system in the house is stellar. We were able to watch movies at night and listen to music throughout the cabin.

It was the perfect honeymoon. The owner was only a phone call away and was extremely helpful before the stay and throughout. We would recommend this cabin to everyone and can't speak highly enough about our stay!

Great Cabin at Powderhorn Resort

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed at this cabin the week of Aug 3 while hiking and 4-wheeling in Grand Mesa National Forest. The cabin is very well equipped and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our two grandchildren spent many hours in the "kids loft" with the video games. The full size washer and dryer was a nice addition as clothes get dirty on the trails. Very nice deck with a gas grill. There's a very nice Entertainment System that we didn't utilize as was typically only in the cabin mornings and evenings. Grand Mesa in the summer is a wonderful location for nature lovers. Hiking, ATV trails (groomed & un-groomed), fishing lakes and wildlife (moose, bear, deer, etc.). Grand Junction is an hour's drive away if you need "city" life. Hope to return again in the near future as Grand Mesa is my Husband's favorite vacation spot.
