Condo, 1 Bedroom (loft) + Convertible queen sofa bed, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)
Our condo is located in Bldg 25, #2253 on 'Malibu Row', as the owners call it...because everyone wants to live with unobstructed blue and white water views and sunsets from our lanais. Listen to the beach's surf surrounding the famous Kaliaka Rock (where Dole Pineapple Company would drop their harvested pineapples onto the out-going barges before the wharf was built on the east end of Molokai). Relax at the quiet pool which is only a few steps away. Given that this is a tropical area, be aware that there are insects, wild turkeys etc.
For a quiet get-away from the world old Hawaii awaits you. No traffic, with one traffic light on the island. Watch the waves on your beach front lanai (approx. 100 yards), and the beautiful sunsets at night with the soft glow of Honolulu lights in the distance. Over looks the Kaluakoi Golf Course. A five minute walk will bring you to the famous three mile beach of Papohaku Park, and the resort pool is only a few feet away.
Walk the beach where only your footprints are left. Then, there is always surfing on the east end of West Molokai Resort's private beach. Hiking and biking trails are around the resort, and horseback riding is adjacent to the property. And for golfers, there is a golf course on the north end of the island.
Our upstairs Condo (with a king size master bed and a queen size sofa bed) gives you a great overall view of the white and blue waters of the ocean, and privacy with a lanai where you can eat and watch your sunrise and sunset with gorgeous views of Diamond Head.
And, if you are planning on a wedding you can have a beautiful, memorable celebration on our white sand beach, as other lovers do, with Diamond Head on Oahu in the background, lying beyond our azure waters.
This is a newly remodeled rental including furniture, etc. Please No Smoking, No pets, except registered seeing eye dogs. Check-in is after 4pm and check- out is by 10am. AED located at bottom of stairs for CPR needs.

Great unit close to ocean
We enjoyed hearing the crashing waves all night long. The unit is very comfortable for two people. It is a bit of a drive to get to the main town where all the stores and restaurants are so be prepared to stock up before you get to the condo
Wonderful unit, but the grounds and facilities are in Sad shape.
The unit was nicer than the photos in the listing represent. Very well equipped unit with an amazing amount of room for what was originally a studio unit. The bed upstairs was a nice surprise, we have had some real back killers in other units at KBR. We love Molokai, it will always be a very spiritual place for us.
To reiterate what was stated in the information for your entry, etc. for our condo the bldgs. on the the right side of the resort entry is not part of our resort. It belongs to another corporation that is in the process of being sold. Our resort, Kepuhi Beach Resort and facilities are kept up daily, with no complaints from guests.
We are glad that you enjoyed our condo...a peaceful place to relax and enjoy the white and blue water views of the ocean and Oahu. We hope you come for another visit in the future.
Dana & Rich
Amazing location right on the beach!
Thank you to Dana and Rich for sharing their wonderful home. We had an amazing trip!
Needs a bit more TLC. Tired but being improved
Great location. Fantastic view! Place has had obvious upgrades but could use a bit more TLC. Overall clean and comfortable. Had sent an email to owner about how we found the place when we arrived. Shared some things that need attention. Was surprised by their response. Would not be sharing here if I was treated with a little more respect - why would I lie. Place apparently has the "best housekeeper" on the island. Will give her the benefit of the doubt .... either was having a bad day or had someone else clean for her/him this time. Thought the owner would like to know about the torn screens but apparently was not interested and basically called me a liar in an email. Too bad because I shared with them in an email so that I did not have to share in this review but ... treat me poorly and get what you deserve I guess. Dirty dishes in the cabinets, food stuck on/under multiple cabinet/fridge handles. Dirty beach towel on the lanai, dirty dish towel on the couch under clean sheets. Crackers in the couch.
Should not be called a one bedroom, more like a studio with a loft but comfortable for 2 if you do not need privacy. Several of the light bulbs were out. Found one in a drawer though.
Hate to leave a negative review as if not for a couple of small things listed that I shared privately with the owners but their response was so scathing. One should not state that they want to be notified of any issues if one does not want to hear it.
I use VRBO all the time and most owners like to know what is going on with their places. But not all even though they say they do.
Would have given 4 stars but ......... and again, not a 1 bedroom. studio with a loft.
It is regrettable that you over looked my respectful advice to meet with our housekeeper when you first arrived and emailed me. As a note: we work to accommodate any problems that might occur by giving our housekeeper's information, which is included in the documents we send to our renters prior to their arrivals (including entry, maps, etc.), in case there is a need to contact her with any questions or concerns. Since this resort is not a hotel the housekeeper does not enter the condo without the renter's agreement for a given time. Neither of us heard from you until now, which means that we were disadvantaged to access the condo at your convenience to address your complaint.
Well situated remote escape on Molokai
Was a perfect place to relax and explore the uniquely remote west side of Molokai! The space had everything needed to nest, cook, beach stroll, explore and sunset watch!
Loved the property and the island.
Spent Christmas week with my 3 teenaged boys. Both the property and the island of Molokai were exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, peaceful, non-touristy, amazing beaches, tasty waves. The condo was great. Front row with unobstructed views of the ocean. Two of my boys slept upstairs in the large bed, the other slept downstairs on the pull-out. I slept out on the lanai and we all fell asleep to the sound of breaking waves. Woke up to local coffee and gorgeous sunrises and always the sound of breaking waves. There is world class surf on Molokai but I'm not saying where ;). Nice 10-12 wave sets. If you surf, give respect and you will get respect. If you don't surf, choose your beach wisely. Shorebreak can be dangerous but there are beaches that are flat and suitable for even small children. Finding them is half the fun. Shopping is about 30 minutes away driving but there is a small shop in the condo complex if you need something basic (groceries). Heard some people commenting on high prices but we're from Alaska so no sticker shock for us. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and I'm already thinking about booking again for next Kalikimaka. Mahalo!
Pete Snow and his family was a delight for us to spend their vacation at our condo. We recommend them to other VRBO owners in the future, and would be ecstatic to have the Snow family return anytime in the future.
Mule ride, Hiking or Plane to Kalualpapa settlement - Father Damian's grave site, Car-Rentals, Sightseeing Archaeological sites, Axis deer hunting, 3 Surfing areas within walking distance at the complex and other spots by car, (Aloha Island Air allows boards up to 8', Two boards in 1 bag saves you fees, ) A 18 hole Golf is only 15 min. away. Dolphin and Whale watching at the beach/pool, 2 waterfalls (Papalaua Falls, and Moaula Falls) are listed in the Top 8 Waterfalls of Hawaii as selected.
