Lucky returning guests have already booked the December '17 and winter 2018, but we offer some wonderful spring and fall months.

Our wonderful home overlooks the highly regarded Troon golf course and the hugely over-rated 'Pinnacle Peak'. The setting is quiet, impressive wild life abounds, but close to the sophisticated amenities of the Scottsdale area.

We professionally decorated in October, 2013, and everything is to primary residence standards, or better.

High ceilings give a very spacious and elegant feel.

Master bedroom is oversized and gives plenty of space for the king size bed, plus a nice window-side chair and ottoman. Our mattress is state of the art hypoallergenic, no coils...no motion transmission. One side is designed to be a bit firmer than the other. Large flatscreen TV and dvd. Large walk-in closet. View faces south, and gets warm sun in winter, sun is overhead in summer.

The master joins the bath with soaking tub and glass shower. Double basin sinks on travertine top. Commode room is separate.

The second bedroom is currently arranged with two extra long twins, but can be joined and bedded as a king. Fantastic premium mattresses. Flat screen TV and DVD player. Walk-in closet. Mountain view.

In some areas, our 'library' would be called 'Bedroom 3'. We use it as an library/den/office. Nice desk sits in front of the large north facing window, overlooking mountain desert terrain; it may kill your powers to concentrate on business. There is a daybed, again with

a premium twin mattress.

The large living space has a conversation-style leather sofa, coffee table, sitting chair, window-side game table and chairs, gas fireplace, and of course, the 55 inch flat screen plus dvd player.

The living space glides to dining area. Table is has leaves for 10, but set now for 6. It looks to the patio.

It is easy to serve the guests from the granite bar of the kitchen. All appliances are brand new except the gas stove and dishwasher. This kitchen is equipped for farm style Thanksgiving, not meager stuff one frequently finds in second homes. In addition to the normal things you'd expect in a better grade kitchen, there is a corner sitting area for the cooking supervisor.

The guest bath is fine, but not memorable.

Patio faces south, and, being on the second level, the landscaping of the golf course provides an atmosphere of seclusion, but the sun warms nicely this south-facing niche.

We think this to be the perfect place for a couple to set up an outpost in nearly guaranteed sunshine, plus invite friends and family. But, just as well, a group of athletes might enjoy our oversized everything.

The property is high above the valley floor, at about 800 meters (2500 ft). In the summer it is 3 or 4 degrees C cooler than Phoenix. Air is always fresher than in the valley but particularly in winter, when the Phoenicians fire up their fireplaces with horribly expensive low grade firewood.

The community is gated, quiet, and very much under populated. The community pool is a couple of minutes walk. It is small but much under-used.

There are only 30 condos, and several of our neighbors are not here regularly, so if you don't want to be cheek to jowl with vacationers, this is your place.

Why owner/property manager chose Scottsdale

World renown golf course attracts interesting people. 300 days of sunshine, close to the 'over the top' retail and dining opporunities, downtown, in Scottsdale, but out far enough to see bobcats and coyotes from the patio. I am a lawn freak, and now I look over the most carefully preened green on the planet and never push the mower.

What makes this condo unique

Others would quickly say 'Pinnacle Peak!', but this is a triumph of marketing over topography. In truth (really, now), we like all 12 months here. That story about 'dry heat' is true. We prefer 108 F here, in the summer, to our east coast sea level home at 88 F.

Private Troon North community park within walking distance. Well maintained tennis, basketball courts, kids play zone, fountain.

A Winter of Contentment

I couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy this winter. On my arrival, everything was found to be perfect. My girlfriend and I loved the kitchen and all the cooking utensils that she needed for her love of cooking. The mattress in the Master BR was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept on. We love fresh air and slept with the windows open. The quiet nights were only to be broken occasionally by the great sounds of coyotes howling to the moon. The West at its best. The pool and hot spa were perfect after a great day hike or mountain bike ride. The great thing about the location of the condo was that we could ride our mountain bikes to Brown's Ranch trails, only 2.5 miles away, right from the condo. All in all, your place is fantastic and I look forward to enjoying your great place in the future.

Home away from home

Best rental so far! Best amenities, location, and close to everything! Owners are very accommodating and pleasant. Golfing was perfect....weather was perfect! You can even see pinnacle peak from the balcony! Rented a Rzr in Cave Creek for some off roading...was a blast! You will not be disappointed with this property or area! We will definitely be back!

Fantastic Top Notch Spot

The photos and descriptions helped to entice us to this property. We definitely were not disappointed. The location was ideal. Since we golfed everyday, we chose several courses that were nearby. But also became familiar with the freeways when we wanted to explore a bit further. It was very relaxing and comfortable to be at the condo. A private spot to appreciate the fantastic Arizona sun. It was tastefully decorated and well stocked with every possible thing you could need or want, especially the kitchen. It was hard to leave this perfect spot.

When we prepared this condo for rental, we tried to include all those little things that we felt were lacking in properties we have rented because we too enjoy our time at the property. This property was excellent. Master bedroom and guest bedroom plus day bed in office. Great kitchen and amenities; flat screens; Netflix; Wi-Fi and printer. Very nicely furnished. Owners are great to deal with. Having Troon North clubhouse a two minute walk from the property is great; even if you don't golf, the food is good and reasonable.

We understood that Kim looked for large and well equipped kitchen and we are pleased it measured up. And we were clear that Peter expected quality electronics, entertainment and connectivity...glad we met his expectations. We tried to have our home be comfortable and entertaining but also conducive to a little professional work too. After we closed on the property last year we met Susan Austin, Susan Austin Designs, and she helped us shed our bland decorating habit; this home projects our personality:pretty traditional but a little playful. We were awe-stricken when we saw it first and we are very pleased that it is appreciated by our guests. Soon enough this will be our primary residence and it was great to start with everything new and just as we want it.
