Overview

About the property

Studio 24 is an apartment with 2 floors, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and a garden

We really look forward to welcome you in our spacious, beautiful and comfortable apartment right near the centre of the city. The studio is designed with various vintage finds, seventies design and pieces of art. You can enjoy the secluded, Mediterranean garden in the back. An oasis after the hustle and bussle of the day!

The ground floor of the apartment features a shower, bathroom, kitchenette (including fridge, watercooker and Nespresso machine), large table, a day-bed and a double bed, (which can be made up as two single ones). Ideal if you are with 2 people. The first floor houses another big room with two or three sleeps and there is a very nice, romantic, small, separate extra bedroom with queen size double bed. There is also the second bathroom and shower. You rent the apartment as a whole, ideal to have the both floors if you are with more than 2 people. We can arrange several combinations of beds.

The city centre is within easy reach, 10 minutes by bike or tram. Restaurants - easy going as well as top rated - and breakfast or coffee corners are within walking distance.

We love to show you our beautiful Amsterdam for locals!

About Paul Tegenbosch

Paul is an interior designer and creator ( tables, bookcases, kitchens , garden houses ,etc. ) and Bonnita is a photographer and artist ( she makes beautiful collages!)

Paul Tegenbosch purchased this apartment in 1997

Why Paul Tegenbosch chose Watergraafsmeer

our property is a beautiful family house , built in 1902 with 4 floors, a nice garden and a sunny balcony. The street view is typical Amsterdam with a fountain in the middle and trees around. In 2009 we built a double atelier / studio / apartment in the garden with own entrance in the side street. It is a multi purpose inspiring building in which you can live , work and create. Recently we started to rent the apartment.

What makes this apartment unique

Close to the inner centre of Amsterdam and still quiet and save. The area is very family- and child friendly and trendy because of all the facilities like restaurants and shops, but also schools, sports and cultural places and parks. An ideal area to live as a local!!

Started well, ended badly.

  • 3 of 5

The property was nice, Paul was very welcoming and helped us find our bearings on a map. The neighbourhood is quiet and the tram is within walking distance. The garden is not accessible after 10:30pm however with smokers in the group we were able to sit outside the front of the house so that wasn’t a problem. The property was very cold, there is underfloor heating however this is not controllable from inside the house so you have to ask Paul to turn it on which is not convenient and not something I expected given the price of rental. One of the toilets is pump only and became blocked upon our arrival. This was quite aggressively blamed on us putting something down the toilet to later hear from Paul that it was an electrical fault and nothing to do with us. Upon checkout Paul was extremely rude to me and my group due to there being water on the concrete floor outside the wet room. The upstairs shower shares the same room as the toilet and someone had to step out of the wet room in a towel to allow someone to use the toilet. A few drops of water which would have dried quickly however Paul proceeded to tell us we were horrible guests and practically shove us out of the door. We tidied and cleaned the house before check out however still was met with rudeness. I did then later receive an apology via text once he realised the property had been completely respected and looked after during our stay. None the less this ruined our stay and for that reason we will not be returning.

Fabulous!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful, eclectic space in great location with a wonderful host/owner! What more could you ask for?

Paul was so lovely, greeting us and inviting us in to his own home for a glass of wine and a chat. He recommended a superb restaurant only a few minutes walk from his home. It did not disappoint! We would have gone back for more but there were so many other great places to eat and we only had 3 days but any return visit would definitely include Paul's recommendation.

Pauls's studio (built by himself!) was perfect, clean and comfortable.

We had a great stay and will definitely return!

The apartment was perfect for our requirements and we loved the neighborhood. It's away from the busy crowded canals but perfectly located for getting into town. Paul was a smashing host, very attentive to our needs.

Amazing place!

  • 5 of 5

This rental was simply amazing. The decor is unique and lovely, plenty of space for 6 of us and the cutest courtyard!! Paul was super nice and friendly, and offered us fresh pressed orange juice as others mentioned that was simply delicious. Great location for visiting and site seeing with the tram 4 minutes away. You could easily walk to everything as well. Great restaurants nearby, I would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Amsterdam! Thanks for sharing this great place with us!!!
