Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
Walked into the house to a very strong cigarette smell, house was not very clean, left over empty water bottles, dishes were questionably clean. Couldn't use the hot tub due to incorrect chemicals and too high ph with no way to correct it. Carpet had iron burn marks in it in one bedroom and through the house it was pretty dirty. Beds were terribly uncomfortable. Dead kitten on the patio by the hot tub. Good things about the house.... walking path right out the back door, quick walk to the village.
This property is very close to the Village (with all the restaurants and stores) and right on the bike trail, which was very convenient. It was very quiet despite being so close to the trail. The interior is dated, but for us was completely serviceable. Nice hot showers with good water pressure. The hot tub was set very low, but it was easily turned up so you may want to check that right away when you arrive. The kids loved the pool table upstairs. We cooked most of our meals and found everything we needed, but I would recommend bringing non stick spray as the non stick pans and griddle are no longer non stick. It was nice to have the bbq out back as well. There isn't a lawn if that's important to you. There were 6 adult bikes to choose from, several cruisers and several mountain bikes, as well as bike locks. We only used the SHARC passes once, but it was nice to know that we could go just for a short time and not have to worry about how expensive it is. We did wish that we had brought a lock to use for a locker there, as none are provided. All in all we had a great time and feel like it was a good value.
The house was a perfect size for our family. Great location as we could ride easily to anywhere but could also walk into town as it was close. House is outdated but that was fine. Was nice to have the hot tub and pool table.
The house is in a good location and has a good layout. However, we were disappointed to find the carpet quite dirty and in need of vacuuming upon our arrival.
We rented this house for a 5 days in July for a wedding. The property is along a paved trail and a 5 minute walk to the main lodge so its in a great location. The place is adequate with an upstairs loft and you get fair value for your money. However, during our stay, there were a few issues.
The advertisement says there are bikes (6 bikes) available to ride, but they are in very poor condition. Three of them weren't able to be ridden (bad brakes or unable to peddle smoothly), another has the handlebars upside down (difficult to maneuver) and another could barely change gears. That left us with two below avg. bikes to ride for a group of 6.
During our first morning there, a fuse needed to be tripped and we could not locate the fuse box (located behind hanging decoration in downstairs bedroom) and it took a call to Vacasa's California office to speak to someone for help. The fuse caused the fridge to stop working and the microwave which was a problem. It was fixed, but took 2 hours longer than it should have. Received a call two days later from what appeared to be the local Vacasa manager, but the problem was already fixed...communication would be good between employees.
The hot tub was much hotter than normal (109-110 degrees) each night and the buttons on the hot tub did not work so we couldn't enjoy the hot tub.
This rental is a "get what you pay for" type house. Nothing spectacular, but again, in a great location. If you're tight on a budget, its not bad. The place is dated and a remodel would be nice, but not expected. On a Sunriver summer vacation, you should be outside anyway, right? At least we had gorgeous weather during our stay! I would probably seek out a better rental before choosing to stay here again.
It was a great stay other than the upstairs toilet not working, we were able to fix it ourselves so it wasn't a huge deal but was definitely annoying.
