Stunning villa on Santa Barbara Riviera
It was our second stay at beautiful Villa Bianca. It's a beautifully furnished villa in classical style with a gorgeous view of the city. Every feature of the house was designed with attention to detail, taste and is well thought through. The villa is located in 10 minute drive from downtown Santa Barbara, but it's very private, surrounded by beautiful gardens and there are no neighboring houses in sight.
The rooms are very spacious with breathtaking views, there are 2 beautiful terraces, a large kitchen with breakfast area, dining room for a large group of people, living room, and media room. There is everything you need in the house and even more.
The owners of the house, Christina and Arthur, were very helpful and easy to communicate with.
It was our second stay at this amazing place and we will definitely come back.
Gorgeous place to stay, and play
We so much enjoyed this house! There's a wonderful spaciousness to each of the rooms that invite you to just sink in and enjoy. The kitchen has a charming breakfast area attached, complete with a cozy fireplace. The dining room has a mini-"King Arthur" Round Table that makes bigger gatherings really fun. There's a delightful living room, a TV media room, one indoor/outdoor patio, and one other patio -- all with breathtaking views of Santa Barbara downtown, the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands. And also of stunning crimson-orange sunsets. There's a great south-facing pool with complete privacy. Oh, and on that point: the large back area of the house has a mini-forest — there's plenty of leafy trees for shade and trails to explore, and even a "babbling brook" running into a koi pond. If you want to "getaway," then this couldn't be better — a wonderful way to "lose" yourself in a tranquil setting for a while. While we were there, we also walked to the historic Riviera Movie Theater (which generally runs more of the critically-acclaimed independent movies), and on the short walk back we stopped in for cocktails in the Piano Bar at the nearby 5-star El Encanto Hotel. It couldn't have more pleasant. Definitely a place to come back to. We recommend this place without hesitation.
Quintessential Santa Barbara Experience!
If you are looking for the truest American Riviera experience, this is the villa to stay at. The house flows wonderfully, is exceptionally furnished and has absolutely lovely grounds to captivate your senses. And...the views!!! And...the location!!! We cannot say enough! Hard to believe we were not in Europe.
Magnificent Santa Barbara Home.......The quintessential luxury Riviera experience AAA++
What can I say…… the very gracious owners, have lovingly created the ultimate Santa Barbara experience. Whether traveling with family or larger party, the home is simply fantastic…….rich in history with classic design, heirloom quality furnishings and amazing views from every window. The pictures don’t even come close to capturing the beauty of the home and lovely grounds.
Merci ........... Jusqu'à ce que nous nous réunissons à nouveau!!
Life of a Princess
This villa is incredible. My husband and I cam for a long weekend with our grown daughter. The views from our bedroom when we woke up were absolutely breath taking from our bedroom…I didn't even have to get our of bed to see the ocean.
The grounds are beautiful too. You can walk in any direction and find a cozy little nook to sit and read a book or simply glance at the view. The Koi pond area was especially peaceful.
The house has somy room that we didn't even take advantage of since we were only there 3 nights.Next time we come, it will be for a week. The media room TV is huge with a super picture.
One night we walked to a movie theatre just 5 minutes from the house and on the way back we stopped for a drink at the beautiful El Encanto hotel which is just a block from the house.
THe kitchen is fully loaded and the breakfast room is a very ice place to eat but in case you have company or want a formal dinner, the dining room is very elegant but not fussy.
There is also a lovely place to enjoy a meal or a drink on the terrace.
The owner, Christine is very easy to contact and it seems like she genuinely cares that you have a good time while visiting Santa Barbara.
We will be back.
Family, friends, and I stayed at this gorgeous villa during our stay in Santa Barbara. The view from the windows are breathtaking! Christine is a phenomenal person to work with. The home was stocked with all the odds and ends needed for a very comfortable stay. The pictures posted on the site provide only a small portion of the beautiful appearance and setting of this home; I say home because it felt like a home in spite of its luxury. Every night that I slept with the windows open (75F in December!) I was serenaded by frogs, owls, and crickets that have taken permanent residence in the lush garden. We had the opportunity to cook almost every night, and enjoyed every minute of it! The kitchen is indeed the heart of this home; cooking and enjoying company is easy to do. After dinner or breakfast we lounged on the terrace, while sipping tea or espresso. We will definitely be back for Spring break. Save us the space Christine!
The Villa is located on the American Riviera only .7 miles from the famous Santa Barbara Mission and it's beautiful rose gardens.
Although the home is a very private, quite and relaxing retreat you are only five minutes away from downtown Santa Barbara.
There is also a movie theater in walking distance for those nights you just don't want take the car.
A five-star hotel is also in walking distance with full spa, restaurant and bar.
