Our home is located on a dead end road right off Route 30. This means there are no cars speeding by, no traffic noise only the summer sounds you came for. The camp has 3 bedrooms; queen size bed downstairs, upstairs has 2 bedrooms, one with twin beds and a queen and the second with a queen. The home has been recently updated. The kitchen is new with high end appliances, countertops and cabinets. Cook dinner on the deck overlooking the lake, lay in the hammock, play horseshoes, or borrow our kayaks and explore the lake. You can swim off the dock, the bottom is firm and shallow for children or deeper off the end of the dock. Fishing is great. We have caught bass, trout, panfish, pike--depending on the season. Kids have the most fun using facemasks and netting the sunnies!

About Jackie Parker
We are a family of four who purchased property on Lake St. Catherine after spending years on Lake George. Why? Because of the lake's beauty, because it is a fantastic place to spend time with family and friends. We have never before rented out our property, but we have moved and don't spend as much time enjoying Vermont as we used to. After thinking about selling it, but fearing we could not find a prettier place on the lake should we want to live here again, we have decided to try renting it and give others the opportunity to experience Lake St. Catherine.
Jackie Parker purchased this Cottage in 2006
Vermont Cottage by the Lake
Well cared for and decorated cottage in a quiet setting. Wonderful views overlooking the lake, with amply deck space on several levels and comfortable chairs to settle in and enjoy the scenery. The two upstairs bedrooms have large skylights that allowed great views of the stars during the night. The pictures shown in the description do not deceive.
You do need to take your own linens and there is no freezer in the two side by side refrigerators (so take a cooler) if ice or frozen foods are a consideration. There is only one downstairs bathroom. Jackie clearly mentions all this in her description. The on-demand water heating system is a bit noisy when it is running, but we were told that it has been checked out and is operating properly.
Jackie was excellent in getting back to us on any questions we had. She had also put together notes on stores and shopping in the area. Very helpful!
A good clean property and a responsive, thoughtful host. We would definitely consider coming here again.
Great location, updated property.
We had a nice stay in Aug at this property. We really enjoyed the location on the lake and the large backyard with multiple decks for sitting and taking in the views.
Very nice home, perfectly situated with great view of the lake.
Thank you so much for your review. We really appreciated the care you took of our vacation home while you were there and so pleased you enjoyed your February stay. Think of us in the summer time!
Enjoyed our stay
The heating system had an issue so it was loud but I'm sure that was not none to owner. I'd highly recommend this for a summer stay. Was there in the middle of winter so we didn't get the true experience of the property. It was nice to be so close to the lake and the view was wonderful.
Thank you for the review and for letting me know about the loud furnace. We just had it serviced but perhaps there is a problem in the making due to the extreme cold weather earlier in the season. Please come back and enjoy Stonehenge Lane in warmer weather. Jackie
Amazing location. Clean, convenient, peaceful.
We had an adult getaway and this place was perfect. Great setting right on the water. Updated cottage with 3 comfortable bedrooms. General store down the road was fantastic also. Great communication with owner leading up to our stay. Thank you Jackie! We hope to be back.
Thank you for your review. We would love to share our camp with you during the warmer weather. So much to do in this area we haven't even enjoyed all there is. Come back soon.
We needed a short getaway from the daily grind and we found here on Lake St. Catherine. We have two small children (2 years and 6 months) so staying away from home is always an adventure for sleep. This was perfect. We got sleep! That's most important. The home is very comfortable. Bring a chromecast if you want to watch some TV/Streaming media at night. There aren't many channels (that's not why we were there, but the Baseball playoffs were on and I wasn't missing those games.) The surrounding town is very nice. We didn't cook so I can't tell you much about the kitchen. There is a grill on the deck and looked like there were plenty of plates and cutlery. I'd recommend Tots Diner for breakfast, that was great. We stayed for three nights and came back relaxed. Thank you for the comfortable stay!
First, thank you for the review. It helps us improve and prospective renters make a decision. Second, so glad you were able to rest, relax and reset. That is exactly why we go to the lake! We would love to have you stay again.

It feels that when you are relaxing at the quiet end of the lake that you are a world away from area activities. In reality, these activities are just outside your door. Feel like a quick hike after breakfast? Drive or walk up Endless Brook Road to the Louis Dean trails, you will be glad you did! After lunch walk, bike or drive the half mile to Whale Back Vineyard for a taste of local wine. Don't forget you can also drive to Granville, NY to Hicks Orchard for award winning local apple wines and ciders or check out the Pember Museum and Slate Valley Museum--both a pleasant surprise. The museums are fun for adults and children, but looking for something out of the way, fun and beautiful scenery to boot? Check out the trail rides at Pond Hill Ranch in Castleton, Vt. On Saturdays stay for the rodeo. Golf at Lake St. Catherine Country Club or walk to dinner there. In the winter you can slide at the golf course, skate on the lake or bring your snowmobiles and ride the VAST trails. Not to mention, you are a half hour to hour drive from different ski areas: Killington, Pico, Okemo, Bromley, Stratton, or Magic in Vermont and West Mtn in Queensbury, NY. In the summertime Bromley and Pico also have adventure parks suited to everyone. You are also about an hour drive from the Great Escape in Lake George, NY. Of course, there are outlets galore in Manchester, VT and then there are day trips to Fort Ticonderoga, Ben and Jerry's, Shelburne Museum and Burlington. You will have to come back year after year to do it all. My favorite day? One at the lake, a quiet back road drive at dusk and a lakeside fire in the evening. Perfect. Your turn to choose yours.
