Please enter through the beautiful, decorative, beveled glass entry door and be ‘wowed’ as you enter the tile floored Great Room. The center of the Great Room is a formal dining area with a lovely re-purposed decades old wood dining table for 12 from Restoration Hardware. To the left of the entry and open to the dining area is a wonderful new kitchen sure to please the most discriminating of chefs. With all brand new stainless steel KitchenAid appliances, abundant new cabinetry with under cabinet lighting, reverse osmosis water at the new deep double stainless steel sink, disposal, and a high end stainless steel faucet with pullout wand, the kitchen is aglow. The well water for the home is also treated including UV light for purification.
The kitchen countertops are dark gray soapstone with a beautiful tiled backsplash with decorative glass tile detail. Of course, the kitchen is stocked with all you will need for preparation of your feast including a nice KitchenAid mixer, Cuisinart food processor, knife set, kitchen utensils, coffeemaker, toaster oven, and two skylights provide additional ambient light as well as a new large dual paned window by the sink. The ‘heart’ of the kitchen is a new KitchenAid 5-burner gas range with a vented microwave built-in above, a built-in dishwasher, and a beautiful refrigerator with French doors above and a freezer drawer below.
To the right of the dining area is a very lovely formal living room with seagrass area rug, a comfy overstuffed couch, two cozy off-white relax chairs, and a decorative fireplace with candelabra and tile mantle (no fires please). A hallway in the center of the Great Room leads to a large front bedroom with king bed, ceiling fan/light combo, large seagrass area rug over tile, comfy overstuffed chair with ottoman, end tables and lamps, and a dresser with a new 32” Samsung HD TV and Comcast Xfinity. This bedroom also has an entry door to the media room and its hallway is also home to the indoor laundry with a new Kenmore Elite frontloading washer and dryer set, sink, built-in ironing board, and iron.
Towards the backside of the Great Room is a smaller seating area for quiet conversation and contemplation, with two chairs, a freestanding lamp, and lovely floor to ceiling wood framed mirror. Moving further into the home, on the left, step down from the Great Room into the large tile floored media room with seagrass rug, large sectional with lounge, full size sleeper sofa with ottoman, coffee table, and freestanding lamps. The media room features a new 60” Samsung HD TV with Comcast Xfinity and a Samsung blu-ray/DVD player. The media room also has draped double full glass French doors which open to the back patio and entertainment area, and a freestanding coat and shoe rack. Another important feature of this room is the bonus third full bath with a beautifully tiled walk-in shower, pedestal sink, and commode!
Moving on through the Great Room, on the right-hand side is a hallway which leads to additional bedrooms and bathrooms. First up on the right is the second bedroom with wall to wall carpet, a new queen white sleigh bed with luscious linens, a large opening window above, double closet, dresser, lamps, and end tables. Next up on the left is the second shared full bath with a beautifully tiled shower over tub with decorative detail, commode, beautifully tile topped vanity with decorative detail, white porcelain sink, and a full wall mirror behind the vanity with custom lighting above.
The third bedroom is next on the right and fully carpeted with another new white queen sleigh bed with two end tables, lamps, and large opening window with 2” shutterblinds. A nice dresser and interesting decorative artwork complete this serene sleeping space. At the end of the hallway, at the back end of the house is a large Master Suite with vineyard views. There are two full windowed full French doors with shutterblinds and drapes that open to the back shade cloth covered pergola with night lighting and providing shade for the back patio.
The Master is also furnished with two dressers, two end tables with lamps, and a new king size wood framed bed, and a white overstuffed chair with ottoman! Entertainment is provided in the Master Suite by a new 32” Samsung HD TV with Comcast Xfinity. The Master’s ensuite bath is tile floored with another beautiful tiled shower over new tub with fixtures and a tile topped vanity. The Master also provides a walk-in closet with another built-in ironing board, and there are terrycloth robes in all of the bedroom closets for guest use, to enjoy the spa.
Now let’s move outside to the back outdoor entertainment area which features a large wood west elm dining table, comfortably seating 8 under the covered patio, and with a new Weber Genesis propane grill. Just beyond the pergola is the new Hot Springs spa for 6+ with vineyard views. Two wooden chaise lounges with a large wooden umbrella complete this entertainment space. There are some planting beds next to the patio which will seasonally provide fresh herbs, peppers, tomatoes, and more. This back area is primarily graveled and there is also a large garage for 2+ cars with sliding barn doors. Extra parking on the gravel drive in front of the garage will accommodate several more cars.
Moving on towards the back of the property, there is a small seasonal creek with a fence and gate. Beyond the bridge is another fully fenced area which abuts the vineyards, giving you an up close and personal ‘grape escape’. This area is also home to some willow and oak trees and provides forever views of the vineyard covered Dry Creek Valley floor and foothills beyond.
This home is located at the ‘mouth’ of the Dry Creek Valley and very convenient to its many famed wineries. The Alexander Valley wine growing region is just a little bit north and east of the property and only a 5-10 minute drive for more wineries, tastings, food, and fun! The Russian River Valley is the third acclaimed wine growing region near Healdsburg and is just a few miles south, off the 101, on River Road going west.
Many more nearby activities are also available including canoeing, kayaking, and fishing on the Russian River, and the Lake Sonoma Recreation Area with marina and boat rentals is just 10 minutes west of the Maison Du Soleil.
The Armstrong Old Growth Redwood Preserve is also nearby about 30 minutes away, off River Road, and on the way to the beautiful and rugged Sonoma Coast. With a day trip, you can also explore the Silverado Wine Trail through Calistoga to the city of Sonoma. With so much to see and do, you will want to spend as much time as you have, and come back again for more fun and relaxation!
