A group of 5 childhood friends and their spouses/significant others (total of 10, average age around 60, with some fudging) rented this house for four nights. We went out during the day to various places: Bodega Bay, a day of ocean fishing, Jenner, a winery tour. We came back most evenings for dinner, which was easily prepared in the big, well-stocked kitchen, pantry and grill and ate in the dining room. The large wrap-around porch was great for gathering in the morning and evening. The bedrooms were well-appointed and comfortable. The grounds are well-kept and a delight to look at and walk through. There is an outdoor fireplace and a large table near the vineyard that we didn't get around to using. Some did use the hot tub one evening. Two relatively minor blemishes to our stay: 1) it initially appeared each bedroom only had one or two bath towels. We were about to call the manager, when we found more towels in the bedroom/office/laundry, Perhaps that should be mentioned in the instructions; 2)the toilet in the second floor of the tower backed up on our last morning there. The plumber promptly came that morning and was working on it when we left. Overall a delightful wine country lodging.
