About Maureen Schultz
We always dreamed of owning a vacation getaway somewhere in the mountains of Colorado. The town of Salida felt like such a good fit for our lifestyles. When it came time to purchase we found our beautiful town home right on the Arkansas River next to downtown Salida. As we are headed towards Salida we love driving HWY 285 through South Park and viewing the beautiful Collegiate Peaks (mountain range of 14ers). As we get close to Salida we tune our radio into the 'Hippy Radio Station' at 97.5. In Chaffee County there are mountain trails galore for biking and hiking. Did I mention fishing? There is a wonderful fishing hole right in front of our town home, just steps off the deck. The Arkansas River is well known for fly fishing and this section of river has Gold Medal designation. We feel blessed that we can enjoy staying in our town home and we hope you enjoy it too. Our Salida Business License number is #0266

Location
Salida, Colorado, sits in a natural valley considered the “banana belt,” so called for its temperate weather year round. This climate makes Salida and its surrounding areas perfect for recreation any time. Visit the gorgeous ski resorts in winter, dine in some of the best restaurants in the region, hike or climb, with 15 peaks that reach over 14,000 feet in elevation. In warm months, take an Arkansas River tour, which winds its way through the valley. You can also kayak, raft, fish, or hang out on your riverside deck and enjoy your own view of this mighty river. Our luxurious vacation rentals allow easy access to any of these stunning locations, whether by car, on foot, or by bike. Salida’s charming downtown area, the largest historical district in Colorado, is home to blocks of Victorian buildings with fantastic restaurants, inspiring galleries, tempting boutiques, outdoor sports stores, and an array of shops for kitchen, kids, books, knitters and quilters. It’s a great place to stock up or find a unique gift to take home.
