Recently remodeled in authentic Caribbean style, the villa features open air architecture, luxurious interiors, beamed ceilings, and coralina floors throughout. Our family has enjoyed traveling to Casa de Campo for nearly two decades.
When the children were young, it was the perfect place for us to relax and for the children to play. Now, our home-away-from home allows us to re-connect with friends and family, while escaping from our high-stress jobs in healthcare, education, and marketing.
The staff are like part of our family, having worked for us for many years.
They are very honest, helpful, and friendly.
MARY ADAMSON purchased this villa in 2004
We found this location ideal because it allows us quick access to the beach, vast hotel amenities, golf courses and nightlife. Additionally, it is within driving distance to several airports, the nation's historical capital, multiple resorts, casinos, popular beaches and beaches waiting to be discovered. I work closely with all my guests to make sure everything goes smoothly. I go above and beyond for all my guests and many return year after year.
In addition to the location and the oasis-like feel of our home, the pool and lush backyard are perfect for families. The multiple entertaining areas are ideal for adults socializing with friends and family. Meals made by the staff also provide a convenient and authentic taste of the Dominican Republic cutlture.
Affiliation with the hotel offers access to resort ammenitities, such as golf, spa services, dining and planned family activities.
Onsite bilingual staff are great cooks and prepare meals daily to your specifications. They handle all requests professionally and courteously. Treat yourselves to some authentic Dominican cuisine!
I can arrange airport transfers, dinner reservations, golf cart rentals and any other reservations during your stay.
We had a group of 10 family members (mostly adults) for 4 nights (Jan 3 to 7, 2015). We made the correct decision to also rent two golf carts, which came in very handy for trips to the Marina, the beach and general exploration ($50 each per day). We had most of our meals at the house including three evening meals which required staff to stay a bit longer so there was an additional charge of $100 per night. Prior to our arrival we had the refrigerator and cupboards stocked with food ($600).
All I can say is that this was a GREAT experience. Having a private home vs. renting rooms in a hotel resulted in a much more enjoyable and relaxing experience. The house and yard are lovely and well appointed. The house and furniture is very comfortable. The staff was friendly and not intrusive. The food was delicious (thanks to Lis). The decision to have dinner at the house for three of our four nights was not only more relaxing and convenient, but it was also very cost effective (dinner for our group at a very nice local restaurant was easily over $500). What few issues we had were very quickly addressed by Mary (owner). Overall, this was a very good experience and we highly recommend this property. Thanks Mary and staff!
We stayed at Cajuiles 56 over spring break 2016. We had 9 people in our party, 4 adults and 5 kids (and it slept us comfortably). We let the "older" kids have the detached villa with the nice outdoor bathrooms. They loved being a little bit away from the adults and having their own "place", but looking back I sure wish my husband and I would have taken the master suite out there. At first there was some air conditioning problems in the double bed unit, but Antonio worked real hard to get someone out to help service it making the downtime only a couple of nights. Being close to the resort was very nice and we all enjoyed the pool at the villa and swim up bar at the resort. It was nice to mix it up. The commute to the marina and Alto De Chavon was a bit far though. And since we loved eating at Onno's Bar (and highly recommend it!) it was quite a long ride home in a golf cart at night. Mary was so easy to work with and made sure our stay and commute went easy. Jesus was our driver from the airport and we really liked him. His English is good and talked with us the whole ride. He even went as far as trying to be a "DJ" for my daughters when they couldn't get the music they wanted on their phones! Mary also arranged the golf cart rentals. That transaction was smooth as well. We were greeted by the staff when we arrived and they made us some "snack food" from groceries we picked up from Jumbo on our way to villa from airport. Lis and Antonio spoke perfect English and they did a great job serving us breakfast each morning and snacks in the afternoon if we were around the villa. The layout of the villa is great and I loved sitting out back in the mornings drinking my coffee and drinking my wine and looking at the stars at night. We also booked a couple of tours. We booked the Buggy tour thru the front desk at hotel and a water/island tour thru Seavis. Seavis was a great tour company and would recommend them as well...just know their drivers are not allowed to enter Casa De Campo, so you have to meet home at the front gate. (that was a little disappointing but worth the effort for the amazing tour and guides they have) Overall we had a great time and would recommend staying in this villa.
From planning to departure our vacation at this wonderful home was amazing.
The open plan of this meticulously decorated house invited relaxation and socialization. From the time we walked in the door we felt "Away @ home". Whether it be reading in one of the many lounging areas or just "chilling" in the crystal clear pool it was easy to leave our other worlds on pause while we enjoyed our vacation.
The resort provided a great foundation for fun of all types, exploring ruins, beach time, snorkeling, buggies, trip to Catalina island or playing golf on the breathtaking golf courses.
It was easy and fun to move throughout the resort in our golf cart while we enjoyed a clean, and well manicured environment. The food was so good at the house we mostly ate there, but we found all the restaurants in the resort to be excellent.
The owner prepared us well for arrival, the staff was wonderful with lots of good home cooked food, there was plenty of relaxation and recreation. The departure was flawless ..... except that no-one wanted to leave.
We highly recommend staying at this villa if you want the best vacation EVER!
Our couples trip was off to a rough start until we got to this beautiful villa. We walked in and were greeted by a friendly staff (with a banana bread), who showed us to our rooms -- we "fought" over who got the master bedroom and those with the outdoor showers ;) Everything was clean (housekeeper on site) and beautifully decorated (a mix of modern fixtures/touches and authentic decor). Personally, my favorite room was the living room. It had these comfortable couches positioned so I could read with coffee/a drink In hand, while still enjoying light sun and a breeze.
Breakfast was included and was fresh and delicious each morning.
We spent our days sitting at the pool, heading to the beach (only few minutes away) or, Us girls, would walk to the hotel/spa. The men played golf most days, but we were able to plan a few boating excursions. The villa was conveniently located to almost everything.
Each night we sipped drinks on the amazing deck-- wish I was there now!
So glad we stayed at this villa -- I will def be back. It's only a few hour trip from NYC!
I personally loved the house and its location. Once I walked in I felt right at home. Me and my family had an awesome weekend and highly recommend it. Staff is very reliable and efficient, making us feel comfortable.
Our family had a wonderful family vacation at this property. The house sits in a lush, well maintained , flower filled tropical lot. The lot has an unusually large back yard where children can play all kinds of outdoor games. We had 3 families ranging in age from 70s to 10 months. The house has a multitude of sitting areas , both inside and outside, where you can find space for yourself or your family. The two pools are fun for all ages. The staff is always ready to help with any need. Lis is an excellent cook. We very much liked the owner's choices for decorations which reflected a native Dominican style. The owner is especially attentive to helping you with golf carts, registration and travel transfers. In sum, this is a great family vacation property.
Overall a Very Comfortable and Great house. Walking distance to the Hotel, Great Location. Late afternoons we Would take walks on the Teeth of the Dog, Golf course. Lis, the maid was amazing! She could make anything we requested and it was great. It was a Great vacation and we will defiantly be back soon! Thanks Mary!
