About Natalie and Michael

We are Los Angeles natives. We loved living in Eagle Rock for 10 years, we raised three children in the neighborhood and enjoyed all the tasty restaurants, and fun bars. The north of Colorado section of Eagle Rock has a real neighborhood feel to it, while being extremely convenient to so many freeways! We travel a lot and know what makes a comfortable, easy, rental.

Natalie and Michael purchased this house in 1998

Why Natalie and Michael chose Eagle Rock

We love the cottage that has now become a furnished rental! The cottage was a non furnished long term rental for 10 years before we decided to completely remodel the kitchen, furnish it and make it what it is today - a wonderful oasis for people discovering LA on vacation or in town for work. Everyone who has ever lived here has loved it. We hope you will too!

What makes this house unique

Extremely quiet area, so much sun light, tons of privacy, optimal convenience for getting around massive LA, and owned by people who cherish it, this cottage is a true oasis to come home to after a long day of being a tourist or working. We really believe this!!

Just what we were looking for.

Natalie was a terrific host. Very attentive and responsive. The property is charming, meticulously clean and sufficiently appointed. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Convenient home base location for visiting LA

  • 5 of 5

We were in town from Oregon to attend a concert at the Rose Bowl, and visit a few other places. This is an excellent self-contained house for a couple. The place is older, but clean and updated. The full kitchen has everything for home-cooking. There is an air conditioner on each of the two levels - both were needed for the hot weather. Plenty of spare sheets & blankets for year-round temperatures. It is fairly near the intersection of two freeways, and near plenty of necessary shopping, e.g. a Ralph's grocery, gas stations, Target, etc. Natalie kept in touch, and was very quick to answer all our emailed questions. The lock box allowed us to check ourselves in and out on our schedule. The front and back yards are nice for outdoor sitting or eating. Street parking is right outside in front of the house. Really enjoyed our stay, and would book again!

A good value in a great location

  • 4 of 5

We chose this location for its proximity to the Rose Parade and its affordability. In fact, on parade day, we decided to walk from the cottage to the grandstand, just under 4 miles, and we're so glad we did. It offers easy access to the freeways and lots of restaurants, grocery stores and shopping nearby. It's spacious enough for a couple or a small family. The wifi was stable and reliable. The kitchen was unusually well-equipped for a rental and we appreciated the welcome gift that was left for us. The neighborhood is residential and quiet, which we also appreciated.

Wonderful little house and great location.

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at the Eagle Rock house. Natalie was great and made check in very easy. The location made it easy to get downtown. There are coffee shops and restaurants nearby also. I recommend the Oinkster if you want a burger. We brought our dog and the neighborhood was perfect for taking walks. Definitely would recommend this house.

Quiet and Convenient Cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was perfect for my week long business trip in Downtown LA. Located within 3 minutes from intersection of CA-2 and CA-134 freeways, the cottage had easy access, plenty of street parking, and many food and shopping choices nearby. I was able to get to my worksite in about 30 minutes and didn't have to get stuck in an overpriced hotel room and all the noises that come with it (neighbors, traffic, etc.) The neighborhood was super quiet and peaceful, hard to believe that it is in the "middle" of the city. The unit is a split-level with about seven steps up to the front door and was quite spacious overall. Once inside, the bedroom and very small bathroom are on your left. The very modern and nicely equipped kitchen is also to your left. To your right, there are four steps up to a nice living room which is over a garage/storage space which allow for some great views and a nice ventilation on the cool LA evenings, at least in November. The living room was also equipped with DISH satellite TV on a small flat screen. There was also high speed internet available throughout the house. Natalie has thought of nearly everything I could need and the unit was super clean - I will definitely be booking here again on future LA trips.

Relaxing, comfortable, private and cozy

  • 5 of 5

We were in town waiting for the birth of our first Grandchild. It was wonderful to have a place centrally located for our 3 adult children who live here (in small apartments) where we could all gather in the evenings to play games, have dinner and relax. Natalie was very responsive to every single question we had, usually responding within minutes! The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean. The bed was comfortable and the two air conditioners and large fan kept the house plenty cool. We loved the cute front and back patios for morning coffee. We were staying here with our 19 year old daughter and the house was just the right size. There is a futon in the closet that unfolds on the floor, but our daughter preferred to sleep on the large couch and she was very comfortable. The little decorative touches throughout made it feel very homey. I hope to be able to come back again!
