Black Bear Bungalow offers an incredibly charming and private Smoky Mountain experience. This 2-storynow real log cabin has been extensively renovated and lets you relax in style with incredible mountain views from both front decks.

A full size pool table, air hockey, foosball and more await you. Even a 72 inch projection TV and a play area for young children (they will love the toys and the kitchen for playtime). There is also a Game Cube with 20 or so video games.

Black Bear Bungalow is located on a quiet street amidst tall trees. The view from both front decks is stunning and you can see the lights of Pigeon Forge at night. During the summer, watch Dollywood's nightly fireworks show! No neighbors to the left or right (or in front, or back of you, either), you will enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains every day.

From the moment you arrive, you'll know that this is your special place. There is a fire pit for relaxing evenings outside under the stars; a heart-shaped Jacuzzi with waterfall; two fireplaces--one in the living area and the other at the foot of your king bed. On the back covered deck is a large hot tub, swing and more seating. You will love the sounds of nature and the privacy of having it all to yourselves.

Black Bear Bungalow is only a couple of miles from the parkway, or as the locals like to call it, The Spur. It is centrally located in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. In a few minutes, you can be in either town.

The cabin was extensively renovated and is now ready for guests! So many things are new we can't list them all here, but look at the photos and you can see a lot of attention to detail. New hard anodized cookware, new bedding and linens, new stairs, driveway, security system and more.

Black Bear Bungalow is not just a couples retreat--it is perfect for families, too. The game room has so many things to do, your kids will be busy for hours up in the loft. Whether it is just to celebrate an anniversary...spend a long weekend with old friends...or bring the kids to their best vacation ever, Black Bear Bungalow is the perfect choice.

About Majestic Cabins

For many years, our family has been enjoying the Smoky Mountains. Just like most people do, we fell in love instantly! Our children who are now ages 11 and 9, consider this our “home away from home,”not just a place to go for vacation. Over the years we have stayed at quite a few different cabins but for the last few, we have kept coming back to Black Bear Bungalow, previously known as Bear Paw. Earlier in 2013, my husband was online trying to book our next trip and discovered the Bear Paw was for sale. We were so thrilled to be able to purchase it and take on this new endeavor. My husband spent a good part of the summer just providing the cabin some TLC and a few great upgrades such as new driveway and big screen projector! We truly hope that all who visit will love it here as much as we do. Make yourselves at home, relax, enjoy and come back soon.

Perfect location between Gatlinburg and Pidgeon Fordge. Sitting high atop the mountain with great views. Very peaceful and quiet and just a short drive to anywhere you’d want to be

Great little cabin on the mountain!

  • 5 of 5

This property served us very well for Spring Break. We were able to just hang around the cabin and play games, hike, hot tub, etc or venture into town if we wished. Location was nice..right between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Our kids loved all the game options...with foosball being their favorite! The cabin was clean and cozy and suited our needs perfectly:)

Great cabin choice!

  • 5 of 5

BBB was the perfect choice for our family vacation. I was worried about the view since we were going so early in spring, but even before anything bloomed all views were great and we enjoyed sitting on front and back porches. Cabins are spaced apart so it’s still very private. The loft area was awesome and became our family’s hangout spot after long days of sightseeing. The cabin’s location is PERFECT for hopping between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge activites which we did daily. I would definitely stay here again if vacationing in the area!

Beautiful cabin, deceptive photos, lacking hospitality.

  • 2 of 5

Let me start by saying my husband and I rented out this cabin for a full five days for our honeymoon. It is stunning however the pictures of the view from the cabin are not exactly truthful. There are power lines that obstruct that gorgeous Mountain View. I wish I had known that before renting this cabin. Secondly I would strongly encourage you to carefully document everything wrong with the cabin / furnishings upon your arrival. Take time stamped photos of any minor flaw you find. Luckily we had the trip insurance so this didnt monitarilly affect us but just something to consider if you are thinking about booking. upon our arrival we noted the lanterns in the master didn’t work, the game console didn’t fuction fully , there was a tear in the felt in the pool table , and the cover of the hot tube was riped. But hey we where on our honeymoon we enjoyed our time at the cabin especially since we knew we didn’t cause the damage and didn’t want to be disturbed during our stay, we didn’t make a fuss. Upon check out I was very rudely and accousitirily informed they would be filling a claim against our insurance, we did have it but Terri’s approach was less than respectful and accusatory. I guess we just expected better treatment From someone managing the property we spent over a thousand dollars to stay at. That leads me to my most important point. If you are expecting a respectful or welcoming host steer clear of this one, the only interactions we had with Terri where negative. The tone of all the texts we received where boarderline condescending and sometimes just insulting to our intelligence. During our stay it snowed but we didn’t worry much because it is posted that the development of sky harbor plows and salts the road. Well they did a rather poor job of plowing and never added any salt so these steep winding mountain roads where in pretty roughy shape. When Terri contacted us asking for info on road conditions we gave an honest answer and mentioned they had not salted and she said it was because salt doesn’t work till it’s above freezing temps That explanation might have worked if my husband wasn’t from MA, or if I didn’t have a Considerable understanding of aquatic chemistry or even if we hadn’t salted the drive ourselves but given all the evidence I don’t believe that. The worst part is I dreaded dealing with Terri during the trip. If it had been the cabin alone I would have rated four stars.but as a whole it’s defibately a two star stay

Owner's Response: I must say, I found this review to be very hurtful and untrue. In over four years of having Black Bear Bungalow, I have not have one single customer complaint, nor was I ever at any time rude or condescending to this guest. I can understand a guest getting upset if they truly did not cause the damage stated against them but this is exactly why in my welcome letter I clearly state that if anything is unsatisfactory upon arrival to let me know asap. This is to ensure if by chance something was overlooked, I will know you weren't the cause. My cleaner took photos of the cabin after your departure and showed me the proof of rips in both the sofa and the pool table. I filed a claim and no monetary expense came from you. I understand accidents can happen, this is why we have property protection! I'm very sad that you found it rude I offered to even go so far as to have you driven up to the cabin if you were unable to make it in the snow. I went above and beyond to ensure you had a safe, clean environment for your honeymoon. Power lines and road maintenance I truly can't control. I never sensed through any of our correspondence you "dreaded" contact with me. Fortunately I have copies of all that correspondence and have a clear conscience after reviewing. I love my guests and can say we have many coming back three and four times. Hopefully, you will find a place that will be more suitable for you in the future. :(
