About the property

1100+ Sq Ft, 2 Bedroom 1 Bath Home

Built in 1919, the L'il Oar House is classic Bend with style and comfort.

Centrally located one block from the Deschutes River in the Old Bend neighborhood. The neighborhood is an eclectic mix of old-style Bend homes and new modern ones.

It is an easy walk to downtown, the Old Mill, and the restaurants and shops on Galveston and Newport avenues.

This 1100+ sq foot bungalow is spacious and well kept.

The kitchen is well equipped, easy to cook in, and has counter-height bar seating for two. The dining room table sits under a large skylight and seats up to six. Relaxing after a big day in the living room is easy. There's a large flat-screen TV and plenty of comfy seating.

The Li'l Oar House has nice outdoor spaces as well, including a pergola to keep you shaded when the summer sun really heats up. 2 cruiser bikes are included to round out your stay.

There is driveway parking, a mud room in the home to store boots, etc. as well as a separate clean storage shed in the fenced backyard for bikes, skis and paddle boards.

We live nearby and are always available via cell or in person to help make your stay as perfect as possible.

Walk (or float) everywhere from this central downtown location -- Drake Park, Columbia Park, Harmon Park, the Old Mill District, 10 Barrels Brewery, Jackson's Corner, Riverside Market, downtown, you name it! Make your stay easy!

Linens and towels are included. Although we love our furry friends, please no pets.

About Heather Bonin

We are a family with three young children, including baby twin girls. The L'il Oar House was our former vacation home. We enjoyed coming to Bend so much that we finally moved here! Our passions include biking, skiing, family time, and sampling the great restaurants and microbrews Bend has to offer. There's truly something here for everyone.

Nice!

  • 4 of 5

This was our second stay, and was really nice. Something is very different about the beds however. I guess we are not memory foam fans. The house is spotlessly clean and the temperature comfort during winter is great. The house includes everything you could need. We love it.

The perfect home-away-from-home in Bend

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Oar House for 3 nights on a rainy October weekend and couldn't have been happier. It was very clean and felt well-cared for and maintained. I felt like the owners had thought of everything and we had everything we needed to have a cozy reunion with my sister, her boyfriend, my husband, and our baby. There is a crib in the laundry room, so if you have a baby it's like having a third bedroom! A great place for little ones, with some toys in the shed and a high chair, and good space for our baby to crawl around without hurting herself. I also was impressed with both the front and back yards, which were landscaped with interesting plants, bushes, and trees which looked like they were cared for regularly. We walked into town and to nearby restaurants easily, and loved the proximity to the river. Can't recommend highly enough and we hope to stay there again next time we are in Bend!

Great place to stay, but the towels...

  • 4 of 5

Cute, cozy house walking distance to downtown Bend. We stayed one week there. The one item we didn't like were the towels. They were obviously new but of very low quality; the cotton doesn't absorb water so you still feel wet after toweling off again & again. No pampering there for sure. Tip to the owners: you can find excellently priced Turkish cotton towels at TJ Maxx.

Great home in Convenient Location!

  • 5 of 5

This was a cute home in the perfect location. We walked to dinner downtown, to breakfast on Galveston and to lunch at the Old Mill District! Easy, beautiful walks. We also used the free bikes, which was fun! Bend is full of beauty, great restaurants, fun breweries, awesome hikes and so much more. I am very happy with this rental - the communication was thorough and easy, and the house was clean and even nicer than the photos show. And the location cannot be beat!

A cozy stay in a storm

  • 5 of 5

Li'l Oar House was a clean, cozy and comfortable stay for our week in Bend. It is convenient to downtown as well as getting to the outer areas. We stayed warm and toasty while it sleeted and snowed outside. We would definitely return.
