The Ski Inn is located less than 500 yards from the base of the Winter Park Ski Resort. Our lovely, spacious and comfortable vacation home features a private hot-tub with three bedrooms plus a loft, and two baths on the main two floors (sleeps 6-8). You can walk or catch the free shuttle to the ski lifts or shopping, the resort is only a couple of stops away.

The main house (sleeps 6-8) has lots of room for family and friends to comfortably spread out. You will enter into the mud room on the main level and drop off your extra gear. You will find the home to be open and airy with vaulted ceilings and plenty of natural light. The cozy living room/dining room combination boasts a large moss rock fireplace to enjoy. The fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and dining table is large enough to seat 10 or more people. 1 Queen bedroom and bath w/shower also located on main floor. Situated upstairs are two bedrooms (both Queens), a small loft with pull our futon. The full bath has a tub/shower.

Entertainment includes TV/VCR, 3 decks - First is the spacious sun deck with outdoor furniture off the main level adjoining the family room. The Second is situated on the back of the house with a gas grill & awesome views of the continental divide. Thirdly there is a lower back deck with views and a relaxing hot tub. Please observe our no smoking rule.

You can walk or catch the free shuttle to the ski lifts, the resort is two stops away. The Fraser Trail trailhead is within walking distance. There are also Adolf's Tavern and a great ski rental located in Old Town. We would love to have you stay with us....just give us a call.

About Judy Cardell

We are a mother-daughter team, working together to share the beauty, peace, and joy of the SkiInn and Winter Park with others. Judy leads a very busy life "down the hill" in Boulder, where she works as a therapist and volunteer. Jenni now lives in California, pursuing a new career in Marine Biology, but returns to Colorado many times every year and always includes a trip to the SkiInn as part of her visit back home.

Generally, your initial contact will be with Judy for dates, rates, and other information, and Judy will be more than happy to talk with you about anything and everything! Want to know the best sequence of lifts and runs on the mountain? The history of the Moffat Tunnel? Where to find really great and inexpensive lasagna? She knows all this, and more!

Judy spent many years volunteering for the Winter Park Handicapped Ski Program and fell in love with the Winter Park/Mary Jane ski area and the town of Winter Park. The neighborhood of "Old Town Winter Park" is particularly special as it is extremely close to the ski area, but without the crowds and close quarters of the lodging located right at the base. What makes this house unique

A few of our favorite places included Adolf"s for light food and drinks, A family owned ski shop, Alpine Sun, is located across the street from my home. They offer a discount for guests of the SkiInn.

We love summertime. Whether hiking, walks with the dogs along the creek path or perhaps just hanging out on the decks or hot tub, we invite your family to enjoy our own home away from home. There are so many great winter and summer activities. You can see the dates for these at the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce website. Really good experience-would come again

Judy's house was perfect for our needs. We needed a house that could sleep two "grown kids", and had private bed and bath for my wife and I. In other words, not bunk or single beds. Full beds with their own bath for everybody. And, it had just about everything you need for a great vacation. Plenty of room for down time with two couches, fireplace, deck and a hot tub. My wife still can't believe how well the kitchen was stocked (bathrooms too). The home is very close to main ski area. We were lazy and drove all our gear about 1/4 to 1/2 mile and parked at bus stop (free). Then, five minute ride to slopes. And, Judy is very helpful and very quick to get back to you. The only word of caution, if you're looking for the latest in glitz and glamour, this isn't it. You won't be "in awe" on first sight, but you feel right at home and will not want to leave.

Wonderful property

Lots of things to like about this property. The kitchen is magnificently equipped - all major appliances, all small appliances to support your cooking needs, and dishes and cookware to support a very large party. Two large flat screen Tv's in the living area, and two smaller ones in the bedrooms. Great WiFi service and cable tv. Hot tub and gas barbecue grill. Full laundry. The convenience to the towns of Winter Park and Fraser is excellent. All paved roads access. The only real downside is that the best views are from the bedrooms, and not the living area. For train enthusiasts, the property is only about 100 yards away from a main rail line, with two Amtrak California Zephyr trains a day, as well as Union Pacific and BNSF freight trains. The owner is very good about staying in touch and making sure that everything meets her guests' needs.

This house worked out so well for our family gathering of eight! We really enjoyed our stay! The location in Winter Park is excellent. Winter Park is a wonderful place for this type of getaway for a family. Judy is a wonderful host!

Owner's Response: Thanks you so much for this lovely review. I really do try to make the best possible place for my guests. Recently there have been a few difficulties. My first attempt to have my house cleaned by "not me" however this was resolved quickly. How would you like to arrive and have no toilet paper!! I am happy that people really enjoy my home and will continue to do so. I promise there will always be abundant toilet paper!
