Beautiful view plenty of room. Stove was very old but it did cook.
The mountains were full of color and we saw deer in the yard. Loved visiting the vineyards nearby and picking Apple's. The house had a great fireplace big dining table and nice big Windows. I would recommend it.
A great 4th of July weekend here!
Dishwasher liquid would have been a plus to spare a trip to the market at 7am.
Close to everything. Especially enjoyed the Spa!
Great family fun
Very nice family stay in Wintergreen in 18 Old Cabin Lane
We found exactly what we were looking for with our family vacation in Wintergreen. The house/cabin is charming and warm, a great place to stay for a wonderful family vacation. Located on a very quiet street a short distance from the Blue Wintergreen Resort shuttle and walkable to the slopes for an adventurous walker (30 Min door to slopes walk, very short 6 min drive). Lots of wildlife on a very secluded street. The house itself is warm and inviting. The heat is easy to control, and the house was extremely well heated and comfortable throughout. There was ample hot water, and every convenience including cable, internet and washer dryer. There is the usual cupboard with a few extras, such as games, puzzles and dvds. It has a beautiful fireplace which we spent most of our time gathered around, and comfortably sleeps six. The beds pillows etc. are plenty comfortable. Our only recommendation is that if you are a family who enjoys cooking and plan to make most of your meals in the cabin-- the owners provide everything you might want. However, it is more of a "camping grade'. We would recommend bringing a good large pan and pot for cooking for a group.
Perfect for our family!
Our girls stayed upstairs with their own bath & we had the downstairs. Beds were comfortable & it was nice to be able to bring our 2 YorkiPoos! Fireplace was nice. We had a challenge keeping the one room upstairs from being too warm, but great house for us to enjoy the Thanksgiving break!
The home is located on Wintergreen Mountain within Wintergreen Resort. The resort itself provides the opportunity for numerous activities including Skiing, Snowboarding, Hiking, Mountain Biking, Tennis, Swimming, Spa Services, and Golf.
Also, Wintergreen Resort is located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah Valley, which makes it a great place to stay to see the area and its surrounding attractions.
There are numerous Wineries and Micro-Breweries in this area that offer tours and tastings. These tours are very popular and are a great way to spend a long weekend.
The nearby historic towns of Waynesboro and Staunton offer many attractions for visitors.
