Great apt. in a great neighborhood

The property is a nice and tastefully furnished apt. in a perfect Berkeley neighborhood. The pictures give a good impression. It is greatly located, just a block from Shattuck Ave, in the Gourmet ghetto, yet very quiet. It features all that you need, 2 bedrooms with queen beds, plus a pullout sofa in the living room that we used occasionally for one of out kids (we lived there with 2 adults and three kids). The living room has an open kitchen, well equipped. Robert and Anne were very easy to reach and very helpful, even arranging some extra paperwork so I could get a visitor parking permit for our stay there. We would come back anytime.

Awesome apartment in downtown Berkeley.

Would have been 5 stars if there wasn't construction on the building. The construction was very disruptive at times. They we're even using a jack hammer a few times. The other let down was the lack of cleaning supplies. If you want us to take out the trash it would be nice to have trash bags for the cans. Also a dustpan would have been nice too.

On the positive side the beds were good and the apartment was clean. We enjoyed being so close to downtown and the central location. We also have a baby and they supplied a pack and play for our child. I would say here again in a second but I would ask about construction.

Very clean. Garage for easy parking. Great location for walking.

The rental was even better than described. We were two professional couples, and this unit allowed for privacy and socializing. The unit has a powder room (toilet and sink) and also a huge washroom with walk in shower (where shampoo etc is supplied). The kitchen is modern and clean. It is in a nice friendly neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, coffee shops etc to walk to easily. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The master is huge, the second room has a small balcony. No central air but great open windows and fans are supplied.

There was a keurig in the kitchen but it wasn't working properly .....no biggy......they had a coffee machine we used happily! The walk to the Greek Theatre was about 30 min uphill walk! We loved it and would recommend this rental. Thank you!

Great space and location

This was a great place for our family of four (2 adults, 1 teen, and 1 tween). It's large and in a wonderful location. We liked the layout with each bedroom on opposite sides of the apartment. The rooms were decorated nicely. We enjoyed having 1 and 1/2 baths. We felt very comfortable there. The street is very pretty; it has old, well-kept houses with nice landscaping. It's in walking distance of restaurants and Trader Joe's. The garage is small, but we didn't actually end up using it anyway because we found on-street parking easily. This apartment is located near one of our relatives, and we would certainly come back again.

Tasteful, comfortable, in a great location

The apartment is in a typical Berkeley house which is nice. It is equipped with all the conveniences you would want and it was easy to feel at home. The neighbours were quiet and the neighbourhood was wonderful to walk around in and explore, both the residential streets and the commercial areas nearby. We particularly enjoyed shopping at the Monterey market and the other shops and cafe nearby, although it is a little further away than Trader Joes or Shattuck. The Monterey market has the most reasonable prices with a great selection of fresh quality foods. Having the garage was a necessity, because of parking restrictions in the area, so we were very glad of it! Ours was a mid-size car and just fit in. We stayed for a month and would definitely come again and recommend it to friends and family.

Perfect in Every Way

Location is excellent for people without a car, and the off street parking for one (small) car is an awesome perk. Easy walking distance to BART and the "gourmet ghetto" of North Berkeley, on a charming, bike-friendly street. Everything is tastefully done, down to the small touches.
