About the property

1 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, Sleeps 4 with Fabulous Bay Views

The spectacular Bay view from this unit is unrivaled and glorious. Open the door and step out onto your private, corner balcony with 8th floor vistas. Breathe deeply. Rest your eyes upon the glistening waters of the Choctawhatchee Bay. Look down upon the manicured Grand Lawn and pristine southern gardens. In the distance, the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico wait patiently for you. The walk-in pool and hot tubs below invite you in, when you are ready. The Village of Baytowne Wharf beckons you to explore, feast, shop, play and dance. But first, kick off your shoes, sit down to rest, and watch the sunset God painted for your arrival.

This one bedroom, two bath condominium is tastefully decorated in tropical hues and has brand-new plush carpet (Nov 2013). The upscale kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and a collection of Pampered Chef kitchen tools for those who like to cook occasionally. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, flat screen TV, double vanity and gorgeous marble shower with a soaker tub. The living room chairs and sleeper sofa make TV and movie time comfortable and easy. The dining room table seats four, with two additional bar stools for casual eaters. A second full bath/shower is conveniently located off the kitchen and there is plenty of storage space throughout if you're staying a month or two.

From the elegant and stately Lobby of the Grand Sandestin, step out onto the walking porch and follow the seashell cobblestone sidewalk to the delicious array of restaurants, including the best French restaurant on the Emerald Coast (with a local seafood flair!). The entire Village awaits you with eateries, boutiques, nightclubs, wine tastings, live music, ice skating, a playground, ice cream shops and a merry-go-round. Walk the pier to feed the fish, take photos or watch for dolphins. Stop for drinks or check out where Another Broken Egg is located for your morning breakfast.

The pedestrian-friendly Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort has miles of paved jogging and bike paths. Cardio and weight-lifting equipment is at your disposal in the fitness room. The Resort boasts four championship golf courses, fifteen world class tennis courts and Jolee Island to explore. The Marina offers kayaks, YOLO paddle boards, jet skis, boats and bike rentals. End your perfect day with a sunset dinner cruise aboard the Solaris.

Local seafood, homemade donuts, maritime forests, windswept sand dunes, rare coastal dune lakes and the largest Designer Outlet mall in the United States are all within two to three miles outside the resort for your exploring days.

About Chris Manion

We left Chicago winters behind to live in this dreamy resort and wish to share it with as many as we can. The soul needs beauty to restore itself from time to time. We live on property, so if you need anything, we're close at hand. Our son is a Second Class Petty Officer for the U.S. Coast Guard; our daughter teaches high school English in Michigan. We are proud of them both and highly supportive of families and parents who raise them. We are happily married 38 years and love welcoming newlyweds!

Why Chris Manion chose Destin Area

The resort's beauty is widely known. The exquisite view from this unit is rarely found. This is an end unit. Your balcony is semi-private, with a unit to the left, but none above or to the right.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for making our stay in the Sandestin area so special. You were always attentive to our needs when anything was required. We felt very at home in your comfortable and luxurious condo. The sunsets were spectacular, as was the entire setting at the Village. I loved my daily walks on the pier and surrounding area. Spectacular! The only disappointment was the cool first couple months. Other than that, everything was excellent. Thanks again for everything.

A Perfect Choice!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I made our first visit to Destin for our 35th anniversary. We were so happy with our condo choice! The Grand Sandestin resort was an ideal location to stay. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Chris was very helpful with any questions we had. The unit location is ideal. The balcony is amazing! I spent alot of time on the chairs looking out over the bay and the pool, a pleasure! During the day the balcony is a bit noisy with the crowded pool below, but at night, the unit is so quiet and peaceful for sleeping. Never heard any noise from other units. The bed is very comfortable. The unit is spacious and well equipped. We cooked nearly every night of our stay. The washer and dryer are very handy also. It was a plus to have 2 bathrooms with plenty of room for storage. The furnishings are nice and the place has a homey feel. Parking was easy and the unit is close to the Village which was enjoyable to stroll in. We had fun at the piano bar in the evening. We took a lovely dinner cruise from the bay one evening and were able to walk from the unit. We rented bikes and rode around the maticulous vast property. The beach across from the Sanddestin is pretty, but extremely crowded. We preferred to drive a few miles down the road to Miramar Beach. The trick there was to arrive around 8:30 am for prime parking though we did find parking later also, just a bit farther away. The pool at the complex is spacious but in the summer got very crowded in the afternoons. It opened at 8 and that was when I went and enjoyed some quiet swim time. The condo is very family friendly. My husband and I hope to return to Destin in the near future and stay at this lovely condo.

Wonderful and Comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

The condo is well equipped and spotless!

The view of the bay is absolutely beautiful.

We normally stay on the beach side at Sandestin and were worried we would be disappointed.

It turned out we liked staying on the bay side even more because it's so walkable and a true resort feel.

The Grand Sandestin, Baytown Wharf, the pool...everything is wonderfully appointed.

Great place and great location

  • 5 of 5

This was a trip for just the wife and I. We had a great time. The condo was quiet since it is located at the end of the hall and no one is above it. One of the most well equipped kitchens I have ever seen in a rental, although we didn't use it. Would be great if we were there for a few weeks and wanted to cook in more though. Perfect view of sunset from balcony. Steps to Baytown Wharf. Great underground parking. Close to Grand Sandestin dining and shopping. Easy to be in the area and stay out of the traffic. Owners easy to communicate with and quick responses. They suggested Stinky's as a place to eat. Well worth the long wait on a weeknight at 5:15! Food was great. We'd return.

Beautiful unit and view!

  • 5 of 5

Unit was very very comfortable and nicely furnished. I would go out on the balcony every chance I could get and take in the view. Being on the 8th floor it gave you an awesome view of the bay, resort and pool. Kitchen was furnished with everything you need to cook with and the washer/dryer in the unit was very convenient . Very nice place to stay!!

Owner's Response: We're so glad you enjoyed that beautiful view. Our years with The Pampered Chef provided lots of extra kitchen tools that we're happy to share with our guests. Come back again when you can! We're locals so we're always able to provide that extra added touch whenever you need it. Thanks for choosing us! Chris & Joe Manion owners
