Awesome scenery and hidden falls make this special
The location is private - drive is partially narrow dirt - ok if you have suv.
Nice view from the 2 decks. Take the trail to the beach - starts by the gate. You will find an amazing hidden falls and pool. From the trail to beach is a little steep and rocky - but if this 70 yr old woman made it - then others can too. It is worth the attempt
Cabin had plus and minuses. Nice washer and dryer - but on second floor. 2 baths -upper with high rise toilet. Beds comfortable. Living space smaller than they look in photos. Dishes and glasses options are limited. I would recommend this for adults looking for a quiet get away without any luxuries. Would not recommend for anyone with young children.
Sweet seclusion with a beautiful view.
The house was very private, with a fully appointed kitchen. Not ostentatiously luxurious, but cozy and comfy.
We loved it and will come again.
It is a great house with a great view. The axe and maul were very dull.
Also the alarm system was not on and wouldn’t work for us so we left it off and locked all doors. My family loved the house and hopes to come back again.
The first thing I did when I arrived was try to raise the blinds in the living/dining area. When I pulled the cord the entire rollup shade came off and hit me in the face. Not exactly a good start. The handheld shower head in the upstairs bathroom literally needed to be held in your hand as the mount that holds it was broken. I had to duct tape the shower head in place. The oven was FULL of oven cleaner that had not been wiped out. I had to CLEAN THE OVEN MYSELF in order to make it safe to cook in. The glass on the wood stove door is filthy, you can't even see the fire through the glass if you close the stove door, which you are instructed to do. The view and location was wonderful, but the lack of basic upkeep and cleaning was extremely disappointing and not worth what I paid.
The shower head has been fixed, the blinds have been replaced, and we have followed-up with housekeeping about the oven. We apologize for these inconveniences and hope to have another chance to impress our guest. Thanks!
Great view but disappointing house condition
Pros: Amazing view. You can literally see and hear the sea while sipping coffee from the dining table. Unfortunately this is the only Pros we can find for this stay.
Cons: Several things in the home are either broken, needs serious fix and overall the house is in very poor condition. We found upstairs shower holder is broken, downstairs dining table lights were not working except one, downstairs toilet fan do not work, downstairs bedroom heater was not working. The living area is really small-with 8 people it can get really cramped.
Overall, if you keep an blind eye to all those cons (which might be hard), you might like it given the gorgeous view.
Maintenance has taken care of the mentioned items. Thank you!
Lovely house in beautiful peacful setting
My husband and I were delighted to have had the opportunity to stay in this beautiful house for a week and were sorry we couldn't stay longer. We spent most days travelling and in the evenings we sat on the deck and watched the setting sun while listening to the roll of the ocean waves. The beach is within walking distance but the path down to it was a bit difficult to negotiate so we used the steps at the Devil's Punch Bowl. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and are already planning our return trip for next year.
