Our newly constructed 1100 sq. ft. ranch home is set on 3 beautiful acres near the Saguaro National Monument West. The contemporary design dramatically contrasts the rugged terrain of the hillside. The open floor plan and abundance of large windows allows for beautiful views in all directions. Our back patio offers privacy and gorgeous scenery with an opportunity to see occasional visitors such as javelina, hawks, and mule deer. Fully stocked kitchen, dining area, living room, outdoor grill, private patio and large bedroom make the perfect setting for a great escape. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower with a bench seat and a window which allows for natural light and a spectacular view up the side of the mountain. Easy access to I-10 with a 20-25 minute drive to downtown Tucson. Many interesting venues such as Old Tucson Studios, Arizona Sonora Desert Museum are close by. About Don or Ingrid
Don and Ingrid are from the Midwest and have enjoyed vacationing in Tucson for the last 10 years and decided to build in the Tucson Mountains. Having rented homes ourselves in many varied locales across the US and abroad, we wanted to include some of the favorite things we've seen into this home.
Don or Ingrid purchased this House in 2013
Why Don or Ingrid chose Rancho Del Cerro
The home is set into a hillside and therefore offered us a very quiet and private setting. We felt that Tucson was the perfect balance of big city attractions and rugged rural beauty.

The home was the the perfect location. We were surrounded by cacti and wildlife.
It was centrally located so we were able to hike the desert, climb mountains, go to a museum and shop. We enjoyed our time immensely.
Beautiful home located close to everything, but very private and peaceful.
We were more than satisfied with this beautiful home and all of the wonderful accommodations it provided. We enjoyed watching the Gambel's Quail and hummingbirds in the mornings. The house was located conveniently for easy access to area attractions. The neighborhood was quiet, peaceful and seemed safe. It was comforting to know the house was equipped with an alarm system. We would enthusiastically recommend this home to others.
This was our third stay at Rancho Del Cerro and plan on many more! The house is in such a beautiful, peaceful area with beautiful views. This year we did the Wasson Peak trail from the trailhead at the end of the road the house is on. What a great hike - and nice to be so close. The house itself is very clean and well appointed and I think the concept of leaving things in the refrigerator marked with a purchase date is a great idea!!! We use things which have been left and left things for others to use. We still love staying in a more remote area, but yet a short drive to hiking trails, golf courses, grocery stores and downtown Tucson.
Outstanding desert home
This is a delightful house with great views of Saguaro West and Wasson Peak. It is on a very quiet road, but with easy access to shopping and the Interstate. It is well appointed, nicely stocked by past users who seem to comply with the spirit of use what you need, replace it if you use it up. Don and Ingrid were very gracious and helpful. We highly recommend!
Peaceful and Relaxing Surrounded by Natural Beauty!
We decided on Rancho Del Cerro based on pictures, description, and reviews and we were delighted with our choice. The home is just what we wanted for hiking and exploring the Tucson area for 10 days. It is comfortable, well-appointed and surrounded by natural beauty. We look forward to returning for another visit. Thank you to Don & Ingrid for sharing your wonderful home with others.
We recently stayed at this house for 6 days. This house is a treasure. The pictures on the website are exactly what you will find. The house is immaculately clean, the bed is super comfortable, strong wifi, and a well stocked kitchen. We also found 2 great hiking spots within a 5 minute drive from the house. The back patio is gorgeous! We were visited by a coyote, bunnies, quail, hummingbirds, and a woodpecker during our stay. A great find in Tucson. We hope to be back next winter!
