This is a cozy 3-bedroom cottage on beautiful Pawtuckaway Lake. It is on a quiet, no wake cove off the main lake. An enclosed screened porch has expansive views of the cove. It’s a perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the lake from morning until night.
Across the lake from the cottage is forest belonging to Pawtuckaway State Park. There are no campsites across the cove so it is very quiet. So much so that loons often come to this end of the lake. The cove is called Neal’s Cove and is a fishing hot spot.
The main body of the lake is a short boat ride away and is large enough (783 acres, 3.5 miles long) to accommodate power boats, water-skiers, sailboats, jet-skis, etc.. The lake is perfect for exploring the many small islands and secluded coves with a kayak or canoe.
Much of the land around the lake is Pawtuckaway State Park which has a large swimming beach, hiking trails, campgrounds, a fire tower and boat rentals. The entrance to the lake is about 1 mile away and there is a hiking entrance only ¼ mile away. The cottage is on a dead-end loop road with very little traffic and is great for walking.
The cottage has a dock and a concrete boat ramp where you can put in and tie up your own speed boat, sail boat or pontoon boat. Additionally, there are two kayaks and a canoe for your use. The boat ramp and dock are ideal places from which to swim. There are several life jackets and noodles for your use.
Nearby can be found shopping, restaurants, antique shops, a movie theater, a water park, a speedway, a dragway and a vineyard. Portsmouth is only 25 min away and has amazing fine dining, breweries, outlet shopping, theater and museums. The White Mountains with Mt. Washington and Santa’s workshop are only an hour away. Rye beach and Hampton beach are only a half hour away. Boston is an easy one hour drive.
Cottage amenities include HD cable TV w/DVR, telephone, WiFi, dishwasher, washer, dryer, BBQ grille, heat and A/C. There is a king bed, a queen bed and two single beds.
We are a retired couple who divides their time between Florida, New York and New Hampshire.

While the outside of the cottage looks very modest, the inside is all you could want and more.
The dishwasher and washer and dryer were happy surprises. The view from the kitchen window is phenomenal - so green and the lake like glass. It was such a peaceful location.I enjoyed sitting on the dock reading a book.
Pawtuckaway is the perfect lake to explore in a kayak because of all the inlets and little islands.
I will return next year.
The cottage was comfortable and the grand-kids had a great time swimming & fishing. We were familiar with the area and we loved the quiet. Did not have to hear large motor boats. It is truly a lovely spot to enjoy and relax.
If you are not a thrill seeker, this is the place to sit back, read a book, have a cook-out and just be. We played alot of board games as TV was not the highlight of the time I was there. So glad I had three weeks to enjoy the cottage. There was plenty to do if you chose to; I chose to kick back and stay put.
The house was well kept up and comfortable for the four of us and two dogs. Lake was quiet at this end in the cove, great for swimming, but still had good fishing from the dock, kayak or motor boat. Nice enclosed porch overlooking the lake was a great place to sit, read and watch the sunset. Close to markets, pharmacy, restaurants. Hope to be back next year for another relaxing week.
We loved the cottage. Everything was great. The house was very well equipped. The cove is very quiet and clean. The neighbors were wonderful. I did bring along the family bikes, but there really wasn't a good place to ride them as the property is in a very hilly area. There's plenty to do "in town", a supermarket is about ten minutes away as well as an excellent butcher shop and restaurant. Only about five minutes from the State park entrance.
Loved our vacation on the Lake. There was enough room for our family of 7, 3 adults including Nana and 4 kids. The accommodations worked out great, nana with 3 kids in the King room, mom & dad in Queen room and older son in the Single room. Having 1 & 1/2 bathrooms was just perfect too, never any waiting. All the furniture was in excellent condition and comfortable. Nice TV with cable, use of the phone if needed, and free WIFI was an added plus. The kitchen was nice and very well equipped to meet all our needs. We all loved the porch and ate all our meals out there looking out at the lake. The kids loved playing in the water and having the use of the kayaks. The family also enjoyed fishing off the private dock. The owner is very nice and a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this property, I don't think you will be disappointed. Enjoy!
Being located between Manchester and Portsmouth, in addition to the lake activities (boating, swimming, fishing, etc) the White Mountains, museums, and seashore are near by.
