This lovely home is approximately 1800 sq. ft. and has a split floor plan. The master bedroom has an adjoining bathroom with two sinks and a very large master walk in closet. The bedroom windows face the South and the view of the pool and mountains is a wonderful view to wake up to in the morning.

The guest bedroom has a queen size bed, a closet full of storage, their own bathroom and faces the North side of the house.

This home also has a den that has a full size hide a bed for those extra visitors that may come to visit. Additionally, the den is a nice place to pick up a book and enjoy a little quiet reading time or you can easily use the WiFi for your laptop or iPad.

The open floor plan of the house has a kitchenette with a table that seats four, a dining area and a table that seats four and barstools at the counter that seats three. This setup is great if you have guests over for dinner or is a nice layout for those that like to play cards or board games.

The home was just recently painted, has new carpet in the den and bedrooms (the rest of the house is tile), new blinds, a new full size washer and dryer, a new refrigerator (with water and ice in the door), 2 new TVs, new dishes, a new coffee pot, a new toaster, new pots and pans, new silverware, a new blow dryer and new linens. Additionally, there is a dishwasher, smooth top stove and a microwave.

The garage accommodates two cars but also has built in storage closets for your golf clubs or other items that you might like to store during your stay.

In addition to the unheated pool in the back yard, there are two seating areas; wicker chairs under the patio and a fire pit grouping on the West side of the pool. And for those Master Chefs that like to cook outside, there is a Weber grill also in the back yard.

Anyone that stays in Solera is welcome to utilize the community center. The two heated swimming pools, hot tub, tennis courts, weight room, exercise room, quilting room, computer room, library, ceramics room, horse shoes, ball room, billiards room can easily satisfy any hobby that you may have or would like to have. The Lone Tree Golf Course is open to the public and is an 18 hole course.

You will find that everyone in this Solera community is very friendly and eagerly interested in helping each other out.

About Owner / Property Manager

We are and have always been from a small town in the S.W. Iowa area and we are not quite ready to retire yet. As many people in the Midwest, as we get a little older, we don't like the cold and snow as much as we did when we were younger, so we thought we would venture to Arizona and look for a future Snow Bird Retreat.

Owner / Property Manager purchased this house in 2013

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Chandler

We looked at several 55+ homes in and around the area and we fell in love with this house and the Del Webb, Solera community. We not only liked the layout of the house, we loved the yard, the pool and the fact that there are no houses directly behind the house. We can see the full moon, the bright stars and the wonderful sun rise and sun sets over the San Tan Mountain. The residents are very friendly and the community center has an abundance of activities that we can participate in if we so desire. Dining and shopping opportunities are very close and too numerous to list but great to explore and experience.

Home Away from home

  • 4 of 5

This property was truly our home away from home. Beautiful vistas from backyard including pool. Judy has thought of everything you might need during your stay. She was always available to answer any questions or concerns. Solera is a gated community that provides many amenities including heated pools, exercise rooms and lots of activities. Helpful, friendly and welcoming neighbors.

We highly recommend this property.

Owner's Response: This couple spent two winters in our house and we had great communication via email and phone. They are truly a couple that anyone would welcome to and in their home and they left the house in great condition when they checked out. Neighbors opened their homes and made quick friendships that will continue for many years. We would welcome them back for future reservations in a heartbeat. Thank you!!

Nice spot for active 55+ folks

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I had a great time during our three month stay in Judy's home. The house was well equipped, neat, and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and the master suite/bath/walk-in closet well laid out. Although the pool is too cool to enjoy in the winter months (I tried it out only once), it is pleasant to sit around in the sun. The only slight downside was the road right behind the back fence with its traffic in the morning, but we became accustomed to it quickly.

The Solera property was a beautiful and full of people happy to engage a part-time renter in all the many activities that go on there, such as hiking, golf, etc. Be sure to check out the pickle ball group, as they are fun and eager to teach newbies and include them in their frequently scheduled events.

There are good biking paths along the irrigation canals, hiking in the nearby San Tan mountains, and reasonably close restaurants and shopping to enjoy in the south Chandler area.

Judy is a wonderful hostess, although all of our contact was from long distance. Thanks, Judy.

Awesome place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our month long stay at this clean and nicely decorated home in sunny Arizona. The owners are very friendly and were willing to ensure that our vacation stay was perfect from day 1. The roomy living space and pool area made it very convenient for us to entertain our family and friends during our stay. The location of this home also made it very easy for everything from shopping to sight-seeing as all the freeways are all close by. We would highly recommend renting this home and are already looking forward to our return again soon.

Modern and well kept home

  • 5 of 5

We made this our home for 3 months. It was very comfortable with plenty of space. Although it was not swimming weather, the backyard was enjoyed with plenty of outdoor furniture available to enjoy the nice weather. From the grapefruit trees that are in the back yard we had 'fresh' squeezed juice often. Near the end of our stay the trees were in bloom again and the citrus fragance was awesome. There were 'starter' supplies in the house upon arrival. The owner is very easy to work with and is quick to rectify any problems that may occur. If you rent this property, be sure and get a copy of the monthly newsletter from the Community Center in order to enjoy everything this community has to offer.

The Lone Tree Golf Course is only one mile from this vacation home but there are many great golf courses within a 5 mile radius.

There is a multitude of shopping within 10 miles: the Chandler Fashion Center Mall (featuring Nordstrom, Macy's, and Chico's, to name a few) , Phoenix Premium Outlets, on Interstate 10 Chandler (featuring 90 stores, Saks, Jones New York, J. Crew and etc.), Merchant Square Antique Marketplace for those that love antiques.

For those that like history, the Casa Grande Ruins are a short trip South and worth your time to explore.

During Christmas, the Phoenix Zoo has a wonderful display of lights and the tour is memorable.
