Just outside of Breckenridge, we are certain you will love the serenity of our 4 BR, 5.5 BA home with all the creature comforts including wood-burning fireplace & hot tub! With four completely private bedrooms with their own en-suite baths, and a large sleeping loft with 4 twin beds, guests will find this home offers many flexible sleeping options with tons of privacy. Light and bright, this home is positioned amid lush fir trees and offers views of Quandary Peak. Nestled on the rising slope off Hwy 9 heading up to Hoosier Pass, you can't help but feel the majestic power of the Rocky Mountains surrounding you.

Our spacious home is less than 10 miles south of Breckenridge. Many vacationers love this area because it's close to the world class restaurants, shopping, and stunning ski village of Breck while being positioned in a lush, peaceful environment that you expect when visiting the Rocky Mountains.

- Half Mile to Quandary Peak Trail among many others (Hikers love it!)

- Walking distance to hiking and biking.

- Local property manager to assist with any needs during your stay.

Kitchen - The fully-equipped kitchen comes with everything you need to cook a great meal! There is plenty of counter space and it's open to the soaring cathedral dining and living area. Just outside is a Weber gas grill for all your BBQ'ing needs year-round.

In addition to the 6-burner gas range, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, Keurig, and coffee maker, the following are provided:

• Baking supplies (rolling pin, measuring cups, cookie sheets, etc)

• Coffee grinder

• Dry Food and Spices Assortment: You’ll find plenty of sugar, flour, salt, pepper, and spices. There is even hot chocolate and a variety of teas. In case you've forgotten any sundries, we've left food in the pantry. Please feel free to use, and then just pick up replacement items the next time you are at the grocery store.

• Dishwashing detergent (dish soap as well as dishwasher detergent)

• Hand mixer

• Paper Towels, Napkins

• Tin foil, Saran wrap

• Trash bags

Open Living / Dining Room - Enjoy the new dining room table that can expand to seat 14 guests! Enjoy the mountain views and warm, peaceful serenity that this home provides. The hot tub and comfortable outdoor seating is right outside on the deck, surrounded by enormous fir trees that sway in the mountain breeze. The stars are incredible at night!

Living Room - Watch a movie on Directv while you cozy up next to the toasty wood-burning fireplace. Lots of split, dry wood is readily available for you. The living room is flooded in natural lighting and seating space to gather around and spend some quality time with your group! No matter what your group needs, you will have it all in this living room!

All our beds include cozy down comforters with duvet covers. Each bedroom features its own flat-screen TV with Directv.

Master Bedroom - The large master bedroom is on the main level and features a King size bed, flat-screen TV, TWO bathrooms (his and hers), walk-in closet and a full-size laundry with washer, dryer, and spare household linens (incredibly convenient).

Guest Bedrooms - Upstairs you will find a large loft area with two comfortable guest bedrooms: one with a beautiful King Size log bed and private bath, the other with a queen size bed and private baths. Additionally, the loft includes two twin trundle beds which are great for four additional guests. Each bathroom is fully equipped with hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, soap and linens.

Bunk Room - Downstairs is a room that includes a queen-size bunk bed which will accommodate 4 adults. The room also has its own TV with Directv as well as an en-suite bathroom with shower.

The home is equipped with an oversized two-car heated garage with additional dry , split wood. Two garage door openers are available for you and your guests.

About Ed and Shelley Sun

Our family lives in the Denver area and we have been avid skiers and snowboarders for years. We purchased this mountain home in April 2016 and we've been thrilled to have a place of our own. We certainly hope that you enjoy it as much as we do. We try to visit as often as possible - along with our three children (ages 10 thru 25), family friends, and grandparents.

In addition to winter sports, we have fallen in love with the area in summer as well for all that it offers (hiking, biking and boating). We now understand why locals say 'Come for the Winter, Stay for the Summer'.

We have always loved Breckenridge and are thrilled to have finally purchased a home just outside the main city limits. With views of Quandary Peak and other stunning sights, this home is warm and comfortable. We love being close to Breckenridge, without being too close to the hustle and bustle.

Since this home is much larger than past vacation homes we have owned, we handle all guest communications and scheduling and use a property manager who lives nearby. We've found this enables us to provide both superb communications and service before, during, and after your stay.

What makes this cabin unique

We are confident that you will love this home for all its creature comforts, architecture, and layout. We are extremely communicative and accessible, and look forward to making your stay very memorable and meaningful!

We enjoyed every aspect of "our home for the week". Total Comfort in a beautiful surrounding. Location was wonderful for outdoor activities, yet close to shopping and dining. Lots of space, beautiful views, coupled with every possible comfort made the week fly by way too fast. The bedding was high quality and the kitchen overflowed with cooking essentials. The owner was exceptional and gave us complete privacy. If I had to rate this rental it would definitely be an A+. We hope to come back!!

Great place to get away!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sun's place! They were so very helpful ahead of time and even while we were there! They were very quick to solve any issue we had. Their home is furnished with everything you could need while there! We only have wonderful things to say about them & their home!

Great trip

We went over president's day and had a really great time at this house. It was fully stocked with all the necessary supplies and even had a good selection of DVDs. Very private in the trees and had a fox and a raccoon visit in the backyard one morning. We would definitely consider coming back and renting this house.

Wonderful Retreat

Our extended family enjoyed staying at Moosehead Lodge over the holidays. Ed and Shelley were kind enough to leave the Christmas tree up, which the kids loved. The house had everything we needed--from a high chair for our toddler and kids cups and plates to fluffy towels for the hot tub and direct TV. Plus, it's a relatively short drive into town and to the ski resort.

There was plenty of room for all of us (6 adults and 5 children), and we loved that each room has a bathroom. Even the dining table accommodated all of us! There was room for us to spread out.

The one word of caution I'd give to new guests is about the altitude. The house is at about 12,000 feet, and it took us a few days to acclimate. My daughter even got altitude sickness. Just be aware of this so you can do what you can to mitigate it during your stay (e.g., stay hydrated, descend to lower altitude for a bit).

All in all, Ed and Shelley are communicative hosts, and their house has everything you need for a great stay in Breckinridge.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Spacious and cozy at the same time.

We enjoyed the fireplace as well as the hotub outside. The whole house was impeccably clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet and peaceful. All the comforts of home! We enjoyed cooking one night in the well stocked and spacious kitchen but drove to downtown Breckenridge the other. Wish we had more time. We would love to stay here again! We recommend this property to anyone looking for a great getaway but close enough to town. The best of both worlds!

Amazing mountain retreat!

We were gathering with the family with the goal of some 14ers in mind. The location couldn't have been better, as you have quick and easy access to Quandary, Lincoln, Democrat, Bross and Sherman. The home was beautiful and Shelly was responsive and helpful at every step in the process. Thank you!

Our home is located in the North Star neighborhood, which is South of Breckenridge by 9 miles and very quiet. The majority of residents are full-time owner/occupied homes, with some vacation rentals. We love our home because it's "out of town" while still close enough to the hustle and bustle of Breckenridge.

The home is located very near the summit of Quandary Peak, which affords visitors access to incredible hiking and biking options.
