Could not be more impressed with this house and this location! It was the most beautiful and perfect home to host my sisters bachelorette party and girls getaway! Equipped with a fire place, lakeside views, and beautiful kitchen, we felt so at home!! LOVED the fact that towels are left perfectly in each room! And the house was just cozy enough for 8 girls! The only thing I had a hard time with was getting into this perfect weekend getaway house! But besides that I definitely would say this find is 5 star worthy! Can't wait to come back when the weathers warmer to try out the kayak, and the outdoor showers :)

Wonderful Vacation Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My family had a two day retreat here and it was perfect. The house is very cozy and warm. While it has a great open concept kitchen/living area, the tv room downstairs was perfect for other members to split up and separate when needed. They have games and puzzles and books so really, you don't have to come with much. It is stocked with tons of cookware and plates and general cooking ingredients so if there is something in particular you need, just ask ahead of time. Didn't check out the boat as it was very cold but overall, we had a great time and would love to come back and stay longer. If you want peace and quiet, this is a perfect place.

graduation weekend

  • 5 of 5

We rented this wonderful log cabin for Bard college graduation. Everything about the house was great. A wonderful kitchen, fully stocked with pots, dishes, and utensils, sitting areas, bedrooms, and the deck and outside property were all lovely. The sunsets beautiful. Since the weekend was incredibly hot, it was great the house is air conditioned. Elizabeth was very responsive and answered our few questions quickly. The only thing missing is a swimming pool! A few extra chairs for table seating would have been helpful. Overall a fabulous weekend and a wonderful spot for R & R.

Seclusion and privacy but convenient

  • 5 of 5

Eight of us (4 Adults - 4 older kids) spent a delightful weekend enjoying the peacefulness of this secluded property but were please to find it very convenient to so many of the sights this historical area has to offer. The kitchen is nicely equipped unusually well stock and easy to work in. The mostly open first floor plan facing the lake was picturesque. Unfortunately (?) it was too warm for a fire but we could well imagine how cozy a cool Fall weekend here would be with a fire burning and candles on the table (OK maybe without the kids). The facilities were very clean and for what little we needed the rental agents were very responsive and I felt they would do more if we had needed. There is so much to do in this area it would have been nice to have more time. Maybe next year.
