This fresh, clean and well-decorated home has fabulous amenities like a well-stocked, fully-equipped kitchen. There is a second kitchen on the ground floor for all your poolside snacking.
There are 5 bedrooms (1 king, 3 queens & 2 double). The house has 4 full bathrooms (master bedroom's is en suite). There are 4 TVs (2 are HD flat screen), 1 cordless telephones with free long distance service, high speed wireless Internet, printer/scanner/fax, 3 DVD players, 2 VCRs, and an Ipod compatible boombox.
The house is overlooking a natural preserve where sea turtles nest and birds feed. It is steps to the beach where you can enjoy some of the whitest sand and best shelling around. This incredible view (you can see to Naples) is visible from the open living room, dining room, lanai and kitchen (not bad to look at the beach while you are doing the dishes). There is a heated pool on the ground floor with plenty of outdoor furniture. A large deck is off of the kitchen with furniture and a gas grill with another view of the water and beach. The screened lanai has a 4 person hot tub and comfy furniture.
The house has emergency lighting and hardwired fire and smoke detectors for your safety. We also have beach towels, hair dryers, beach and pool toys, DVDs, VHS tapes, and lots of books and magazines to read. Just bring your clothes and food and it will feel like home.
The house is located on the south end of the island, and about 2 miles from Lover's Key State Park (voted one of the top 10 beaches in America). Close by we have a public executive golf course, a large plaza with lots of great restaurants and shops, a post office, drug store, & gas station. A short distance from the house, there is a 4-plex movie theater and a Publix grocery store. The trolley that goes up and down the island has pickup close by as well.

My family of 13 ( 8 adults and 5 children) enjoyed a week at this amazing gulf front beach house. The house was well kept and had everything we needed. We never felt that we were over crowded or on top of one another. We enjoyed a few large dinners at the house as the kitchen had everything we needed. The grill was extremely large which was perfect for our large family. The heated pool worked out well for our family and if we wanted a change we were steps away from the beach. Being at the south end of Fort Myers Beach, there wasn't a lot of traffic on the beach which made it feel like our very own private beach! The lagoon between the house and the beach was not a problem. It was about knee deep at low tide. We ventured out a few different times to various attractions and resturants and it was nice being on the south end of the island as it was easy to get to I-75. Traffic gets worse as you head north to down town Fort Myers Beach on Estero Blvd so we only went this route in the morning. Do not head north on Estero at dinner time unless you enjoy bumper to bumper stopped traffic (we learned the hard way one evening on our way to dinner :). We were happy we all had rental cars as the Trollies had large wait times. Maybe the wait times for trollies are different depending on the month or week you spend at this location. I recommend this house to anyone with a large family. You will not be disappointed. I can tell the owners continue to make updates to make your experience for enjoyable. We hope to make it back to this same house one day!
My family stayed here for 8 nights, this home is well kept! Everything is clean and very comfortable. When you look around at the 2 other rentals in front and back this home looks the best on the outside as well. This is a very large home and has 3 air conditioners which made it wonderful for us to be on 2 different levels of the house. The house is equipped with tons of bath towels which is very nice. Having 4 full bathrooms we never had to wait on anyone to get out of one. Power went out on us 1 evening when a rain storm blew through and the house is equipped with emergency lights, this was quite impressive! You can see the owners care about their home and their guest! The pool is not a regular size pool, it only is 5' deep but we loved it especially me since I'm only 5' tall and my grandson was extremely confident in it. The walk through the nature preserve was a little intimidating at first but then we got used to it. It varies in water depth according to the tides. I recommend this house to anyone with a large group, you will never be on top of each other!
The only recommendations I would make is to take out some of the bulky furniture downstairs and the house would be that much roomier!
When we return to Fort Myers Beach we will definitely be looking to stay at this house again!!!
We stayed in this Great house for 7 days with 13 people 8 adults and 5 kids. It worked for all of us plenty of room. It was clean. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything. The pool is small but worked well for us and it was clean and warm. They had plenty of pool and sand toys for the kids. If we do this again we would stay here. Also the Lagoon was no problem for us.
Stayed here in Dec. 2014 with two families. We had 4 adults and 6 kids so we needed all 5 bedrooms. We did not realize that the "bedroom" with the twin beds in it was actually open to the communal space including the hall with the washing machine and dryer. There is no door but two large open spaces with curtains. This was a bit of an issue for us as we had two young children who needed to nap in that room during the day and the washing machine makes a godawful loud squeaking noise so no laundry could be done during nap or after bedtime. There was a flimsy closet door that could be pulled across the hallway but did nothing to mitigate this noise or other household noise. It just wasn't what we were expecting but we worked around it.
The bigger issue for us was that the lower level queen bedroom near the pool was unusable for our entire stay due to a banging sound coming from behind the wall at the head of the bed. One of the kids ended up sleeping on the living room couch for the whole trip because no one could sleep in that room. This noise would come and go and we couldn't figure out how to make it stop. The issue was raised to Barb during the trip and one of the cleaning crew was sent out to check out if something was making the noise in the mechanical room behind this bedroom but the cause was not found. After the trip we asked for a partial refund due to the inability to use this bedroom. We were told that the noise is somehow related to the air conditioning and that there was nothing found to be wrong with the AC unit. As this was a "factor beyond their control" there was no refund. I think potential guests might want to know about this ahead of time and decide for themselves if it would be an issue for someone sleeping in that room. Here's a link to a video of the noise:
Just thought it would be helpful to have this info ahead of time. Maybe bring some earplugs. :)
Just as described we had a house full and still had a lot of space. The listing was extremely accurate... just like in the photos. We really liked the location away from the center of town... much more quiet but close enough to head up there when we wanted to. Excellent property for our grandchildren with the private pool and close to the beach for shelling. They were a bit nervous wading through the lagoon at first, but after a couple of days no problem. You have to sign up for a Dolphin tour at the Marina behind Publix... lots of Dolphins who chase the boat in quite a show! Would definitely recommend this property for family gatherings with children.
Our family of eight (three generations) loved this vacation. The house was fantastic: larger than we expected, well-appointed kitchen, lots of different places to relax, wonderful views of the gulf, pictures just couldn't do justice to the place. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and beach every day. You can either wade through a small lagoon (knee deep at high tide on my short legs) or take a slightly longer walk (perhaps one or two blocks?) down the beach to avoid this. We saw dolphins from the shore and enjoyed the Sanibel Thriller with the dolphins swimming in the wake of the boat. The island was hopping with students on spring break, but we hardly noticed them since they were mainly on the other end of the island. We received our full deposit back in the time period specified. We recommend shopping at Costco in Ft. Myers before you come as it is less expensive, although we had no trouble meeting our needs at the local grocery store when we needed to restock. We highly recommend this place and would love to do it again ourselves.
Beach, as for the kids, this is truly a children's paradise with games, toys and videos
