A classic Sierra Nevada Mountains cabin, fully outfitted with the modern conveniences (dishwasher, disposal, washer/dryer, barbecue, central heating). For skiing you are one mile from the Alpine Meadows ski lodge, reciprocal lift tickets and all-day shuttles to Squaw Valley and back for maximum diversity in skiing. Ice rinks at Squaw, theater, etc. Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe 7 miles by car. In summer, private pond for swimming, with sand beach and perfect kids play area. Trailhead to Five Lakes and Granite Chief Wilderness Area, both at crest of Sierra Mountain range, 1/8 mile walk from cabin. Can bike from cabin to Tahoe City, Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley, Truckee, and on and on.
Alpine Meadows is an adventure playground! In winter, the world-class skiing and snowboarding at Alpine Meadows ski resort is 1 mile, Squaw Valley (4 miles), NorthStar (18 miles) and more. When the snow leaves there are a wealth of hiking and biking trails, horses & ponies at Alpine Meadows Stable, rafting and fishing on the nearby Truckee River (3 miles away) and the great Lake Tahoe wonder itself (boating, beaches, parks, etc). Explore locally run shops and fantastic restaurants in Tahoe City (5 miles) or Truckee (11 miles).

Winter skiing at Alpine Meadows is one mile up the road. Squaw Valley is the next valley over, 10 miles driving (can hike to the top of Squaw from the cabin in one hour). Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe is 8 miles in the opposite direction. The property is part of the Bear Creek Association (BCA), which maintains the roads and the driveway for snow removal and year-round access. BCA also owns and maintains a swimming pond and beach for summer use by homeowners and their renters (see photos).

About the owner: Our father had this cabin built by one on the best builders in Tahoe. We have enjoyed its beauty, its peace and the incredible setting for 50 years. You won't be disappointed.
