Enjoy the mountains year-round in this completely remodeled 4 bedroom / 2 bath condo (maximum occupants: 10). This property is ideal for 2 families as it has 3 bedrooms with Queen size beds and a bunk room with 4 twin beds; it will sleep 6 adults and 4 kids or 8 adults (2 adults would be in twin beds). There is a south-facing deck with a gas grill and views of the ski area and Minaret mountain range. We are walking distance/across the parking lot from Canyon Lodge (deck looks right out at it), and you can ski back to the condo on the Village Ski-back Trail, and ski out from the front door (through the woods) down to Chair 7. Also near the Ski-back Trail is a small sledding area. The Village Gondola is about 1/4 miles away at Canyon Lodge and takes you down to the Village at Mammoth, which has many restaurants and shops as well as a nice general store. The Austria Hof restaurant is right below Mammoth West if you are looking for an easy walking distance meal. Multiple lakes are within 5-10 miles, and the east entrance to Yosemite is about a 45 minute drive.
The property was completely remodeled after purchase in 2011-12 with new carpet, slate-looking tile floor, cabinets, granite counters, and copper sinks throughout. The layout has a master bedroom with bath on the top (entry) floor along with kitchen/dining/living area; lower level has 3 bedrooms (2 with Queen beds and a bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds), bathroom with an oversize tub, and laundry room (available to renters staying 5 nights or more). Towels and sheets are included. Entry way has many hooks and baskets for storage; there is a ski locker right outside the front door as well. Amenities include cable TV, DVR, DVD player, and password-protected, high-speed wireless internet access.

Kitchen: Tile floor, stainless steel LG/Bosch appliances, coffee pot, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, mixer, food processor, blender, wine rack, ample dishes / pots / pans, and pretty much every kitchen utensil you need. Island with sink and two stools.
Living Area: Leather couches, large coffee table, stone fireplace in the corner (gas burning so no wood mess), large HD TV, DVR, DVD player, CD player. There are a variety of books, games, puzzles, DVDs, and CDs available.

The Mammoth West complex features an outdoor pool (summers) and hot tub (all year), and ping pong in the lobby.
1) The unit is on a driveway at Mammoth West that does not permit parking -- you need to park either up a level or down a level. Cars can be parked directly outside condo for loading and unloading. Also, there is no room for turning a vehicle around on the driveway - we find it easier to back in than to back out.
2) Passes are required for parking on Mammoth West property and there is limit of two passes (i.e., two cars max) per unit. You will need to pick up the parking passes at the Mammoth West lobby upon arrival.
3) While Canyon Lodge is only about 400 yards away, if you have young kids we find it more convenient to drive them over for a drop-off and either park in the Canyon Lodge parking lot (free, but fills up) or re-park the car back at Mammoth West (marked parking spots along Canyon Bldg near lobby, but make sure your Mammoth West parking pass is displayed or your car will be towed).
4) The top beds in the bunk room are best suited for smaller kids, as the ceiling is low in that room.
