About Eric Lang
We live in Oklahoma City with our 4 kids.
Eric Lang purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2013
Why Eric Lang chose Texanna
We purchased the house from a friend. We had stayed here before and fell in love with it.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
Lakefront property was a must for us. It enables us and our guests to have full access to the lake and all the benefits the lake has to offer.

The house is great. The owners were easy to work with. Our family had a wonderful reunion.
Property is nice. Amenities need work!!!
The air conditioner was not working in boat house. I had guest coming from out of town so I had to purchase window unit to use the house. There is full kitchen in both houses neither oven worked that was very inconvenient. Not the best WiFi.
We had family flying and driving from Washington State, Ohio, Virginia, South Carolina, Nebraska, and one family that lives outside of Oklahoma City! Approximately 30+people. Plenty of room for all! (Much more room than I thought) There were 8 couples and 14 kids. Several people brought a couple of blowup beds, and cots for kids that did not have a bed. Everyone was comfortable. Card games at the wooden game table were going on around the clock! The grounds are well kept and spacious, with plenty of room for all of our activities. One of my nephews brought his boat all the way from South Carolina, and put it in the water at the marina near the house. Then drove down the cove and moored it in the convenient, large, covered dock with several boat slips located in front of the house. The water was nice too. The kids were shy to get in at first, thinking there were "things" at the bottom that would bite their feet! But no, there was only soft sand, and the parents couldn't get the kids out of the water! Several folks went fishing too. We thought it would be so hot outdoors for games, but the main house has many trees around it for shade, and a breeze most of the time. Even with the heat, several people went for walks. We enjoyed the large wrap around porch with several picnic tables for eating outdoors. Finally we thought with all the "bodies" the air conditioning would not be able to keep us cool. WRONG! Very cool all the time. I only hope I didn't drive Eric "nuts" with all my phone calls before we arrived! He is very pleasant. Thanks Eric!
Fantastic Place for a GETAWAY.
This house accommodated our gathering of 17 (5 couples and 7 kids) Our expectations were met, & then some.(access to the boat dock and water). It's an easy open floor plan in the kitchen/living/dining area. We were able to be all together if we choose to be. Loved the comfortable beds, and the upstairs loft/bunk bed area was a hit. Spent time: fishing, walking, playing board games, and sitting around the fire pit at night. Met some of the neighbors, which were friendly and courteous.
Hats off to the owner, they are easy and pleasant to work with, friendly, and willing to answer all questions. This property is well maintained. If there was a guest book to sign we didn't see it. All the families would have jotted something it in. This is a great place to stay, We shall return.
We held our family reunion at this lovely property. The main house was large enough to accommodate all of us without being crowded or on top of each other. Plenty of eating space and table space for kids crafts. Aside from 2 couples having to sleep in the boathouse facility, we were all together the entire time. The yard (in spite of the rain) provided a wonderful early Easter Egg hunting area. The scenery also provided a wonderful backdrop for our annual family picture! We definitely want to return at a warmer time so we can enjoy the water activities!! Eric was very easy to contact & work with. We had an AWESOME time!!!
We had a wonderful time at the lake house. Beautiful homes with a nice view, comfortable beds all the supplies you could need. We had a rainy, football watching, relaxing weekend. Kids loved the bunk room with the lofts. Everyone had a great time. Owners were awesome. Highly recommend for large families. Great family vacation spot!!!
The area is very quiet, with a few neighbors who live on our road year round. By road or by boat, there are several places to visit, fuel up, eat, even an area below the damn that is a recreational area for ATV's and dirtbikes. Checotah, home of Carrie Underwood, is just a few miles to the North. Eufaula, Muskogee and McAlester are the largest towns nearby, with other smaller communities as well. Eufaula State Park, Fountainhead State Park and Arrowhead State Park are all within 30 minutes drive.
