About Charlie & Brystal Pinnon
Born and raised right here in Southern Il, I have one other Rental Cabin, and work as a operating engineer, also we have a small herd of cows that we enjoy taking care of. My wife is a full time mother and a beautician, also she takes care of making our cabins look brand new after each visitor. Together we have two wonderful children, one 6 one is 9.
Charlie & Brystal Pinnon purchased this Cabin in 2013
Why Charlie & Brystal Pinnon chose Buncombe
This property has been in our family for close to 40 years. My father bought the land from my mothers uncle in the mid 70s and has farmed it and ran cattle on it every since. Now Dad is retired, and only has a few cows to keep him company, he also owns and operates Pinnon Lake Cabins that are located on the other end of the place.

Everything was nice and clean for us when we arrived! The listing of this property does not do it justice at all. It was much more than we expected.
Good. Love the nature with all the lightning bugs at night.
Air conditioner needs work. Kept freezing up and not cooling. I saw ice on the outside unit. I know this because I am a maintenance person. Otherwise great stay.
Great place to relax and unwind in a beautiful setting.
The cabin was wonderful. The hot tub was amazing. The outside grill and patio area were great for enjoying the beautiful view of the hills, ponds, and pastures. Overall the place is great however there are a few things one should know before coming. Bring ice (no ice maker and only one ice cube tray) , cooking utensils and dishes are limited and if you want to use the firepit, bring your own wood. What we bought wouldn't burn. A couple of plastic wine glasses would make it better to enjoy the hot tub and restocking silverware and adding a couple more dishes would help. But these are minor issues compared to the pluses of the property so do not let it discourage you from staying. The house is in view of the neighbors property but they weren't outside so it didn't affect us but there is a driveway to the other cabin right beside this cabin. However if a tree were planted or lattice work barrier were installed by the drive it would provide more seclusion but that did not stop us from fully enjoying our stay. Loved soaking in the huge hot tub and listening to the birds and frogs. We didn't fish in the pond but loved watching the turtles swim. Such a wonderful, relaxing place to stay. The beds weren't great but not the worst either. After all the relaxation time outside, we probably could've slept on a rock. The pictures don't do the place justice. But the seclusion description is a little misleading but really it wasn't a big deal. It is more private than it appears. The cabin is in great proximity to the wine trail which is so much fun. It is such a beautiful area to visit. The owner was definitely hands off so if you like interaction you won't find it there but you have the place to yourself. He did answer text messages when we had questions. Overall it was a wonderful getaway. We will definitely be coming back. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing place to stay!
Awesome cabin, great surroundings! Perfect getaway.
We have stayed at Callie's Cabin several times and have always enjoyed ourselves. The cabin is clean, stocked with the essentials and is a set in a serene environment. It is in a perfect location for traveling along the wine trail. The owner is very accommodating and gracious.
Our family stayed over during our spring break. The location is centralized to all of the attractions/parks/ wineries. Pond was great to fish at and the hot tub is nice to have.
Relaxing get away
So much more than advertised clean, comfortable, peaceful, great for family. It is a beautiful peaceful paradise. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back.
