This fully renovated vacation house is located in Palm Springs' famous Racquet Club Estates neighborhood, home to the legendary Racquet Club Resort.
The home features highly sought-after desert mid-century modern architecture, including a spacious open floor plan, dramatic vaulted high ceilings unique to the iconic “butterfly” roofline design, exposed tongue-and-groove ceiling beams, and floor-to-ceiling “walls of glass” that stream an abundance of sunlight throughout the indoor living areas. Each room throughout the house has been renovated to showcase the home’s stunning features. Highlights include a fully renovated open concept kitchen, that features stainless steel appliances, pro-grade gas cooktop, Keurig café brewer, and auto-closing drawers well-stocked with all the essential cooking gadgets.
The main living, dining and kitchen areas provide unobstructed views of the mountains and expansive private garden and pool through the “zero-clearance” floor-to-ceiling windows, which blur the distinction between the indoors and outdoors.
The expanded master bedroom features a gas fireplace, flat panel wall-mounted HDTV and private patio. The en suite master bath that features dual vanity sinks and a luxury step-down oversized shower with glass tiles. Longer-term guests will appreciate the abundant custom storage features available in the walk-in closet.
Throughout the house, guests will appreciate the modernist furnishings inspired by famous mid-century modern designer icons. Highlights include a curved low-back sofa, Mies van der Rohe Barcelona chair, and raised modern beds with luxury mattresses and hotel quality linens in each bedroom.
Outside, sun lovers can soak up the desert sun in the desirable western-facing private back yard. Indulge in the Pebble-Tec® swimming pool with 'legacy size' dimensions, which features walk-in stair-step access and variable depths. After a refreshing swim, relax in the adjustable chaise loungers underneath an oasis of palm trees, surrounded by resort-style landscaping.
The private back yard features an expansive detached outdoor cabana with kitchenette for enjoying the Palm Springs indoor-outdoor lifestyle. The kitchen/bar area features includes a Jenn-Air chef’s gas grill, true-gas cooktop burner, and bar/prep sink. You and your guests can dine al-fresco style in the lighted cabana at the outdoor dining table, and afterwards retreat to the outdoor resort style sectional lounge sofa.
After sunset, the entire private back yard and palm trees are dramatically illuminated with professional resort-designed ground lighting. As mid-century modern enthusiasts, we jumped at the opportunity to purchase this iconic “Butterfly” Alexander-built mid-century modern house. This is our second house in the desert, and we’re thrilled to share it with our guests. We spent over 8 months fully renovating this amazing house and property to its original splendor. With the exception of the frame and exterior stucco siding, the house is essentially all new.

This home is a highly sought-after authentic Alexander-built 'butterfly' roofline house. The main living areas and private back yard boast breathtaking views of the San Jacinto Mountain range. Just a short walk away is the steps away is the beautifully landscaped Victoria Park.

Fantastic mom's get-away!
This was the perfect location for our annual mom's get-a-way. The home and pool were every bit as beautiful as the pictures. Scott and Michael provided excellent communication around arrival and use of amenities. We really appreciated the quietness of the neighborhood and the close proximity to downtown. A rental car provided mobility for shopping day trips, and the excellent PS Uber service got us to and from restaurants in the evenings.

5 star stay in Palm Springs
Just returned from our amazing trip & am already thinking, “When can we return?” The house is nearly perfect - it fully embraces the mid-century modern style & is so comfortable. Great location too. The backyard has a great mountain view & is very private. The hosts are accommodating & showed great hospitality w/ a welcome gift. The house has a manual that answers all potential questions & is very helpful. The master bed & bath are really spacious. I will not hesitate to stay at this home again ASAP!
Beautiful, impeccably clean vacation home!
We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful home for 5 days at the beginning of May for a family vacation. The house itself was impeccably clean, tidy, and well organized. Nothing was overlooked--every detail and need a family on vacation could have had been carefully considered and included in the house, from grill tools, to kitchen implements, to extra towels and pool toys. When an unscheduled power outage affected the neighborhood, the owners were extremely gracious, generous, and understanding. The location was excellent--close to the highway and downtown, but far enough to not fall victim to traffic and noise. We plan to visit Palm Springs again and will absolutely stay in this home again if available. Thanks so much to Michael and Scott for providing your wonderful home and helping make our vacation an unforgettable one!

Amazing stay at the Racquet Club House!
Our family had a short stay at this house and we loved every moment. The house was spotlessly clean and updated, but had a few fun retro touches. The kitchen was super well stocked with tons of cooking gadgets, utensils, serving platters, dishes, sharp steak knives, etc. (more than our own house). The beds were extremely comfortable (a first for us at a rental). There's was a supply of shower towels and pool towels, etc. It was nice to have a washer and dryer (they provided a couple of bottles of travel size laundry detergent). The view of the mountains from the backyard were serene, and the pool and outdoor cabana/bbq were well-maintained. We spent all day just floating in the pool and BBQ'ing. The owner (Michael) was super responsive and helpful. Honestly, if we didn't already have another stay booked here for late next year, we might have hesitated to write this review because we want to keep it our own secret. We can't wait to return!
