About the property

2br/1ba quiet apartment with easy street parking

Quiet apartment on a hill in Golden Gate Heights/Inner Sunset, in close proximity to UCSF Medical Center, great restaurants, and world-class museums and other attractions of Golden Gate Park.

This is one of the safest neighborhoods in SF, with easy access to public transportation (the N-Judah rail line is 2.5 blocks away), a great nearby supermarket (Andronico's), and a vibrant commercial area on Irving & 9th, within a 10-minute walk. Walking distance to UCSF is about 15 minutes.

Just two blocks up the street is a small hilltop park with expansive, panoramic views of the city and Pacific Ocean.

The apartment includes a fully-equipped, eat-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a spacious living room with access to a large patio, a garden view main bedroom, and a smaller 2nd bedroom which does not have an outside window. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed. There is one bathroom with a tub/shower.

Bed linens, towels, pillows, and blankets, are provided. Please note this apartment does not have child-proof locks or specialized children's furniture.

Wi-fi and cable TV included.

EASY PARKING: Easy street parking, which is difficult to find in other parts of this neighborhood and many other parts of the city. Open spots are usually on the same block as the apartment (just watch for street cleaning signs). There is no dedicated parking for this property.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Location was perfect, very clean, comfortable and fit our needs perfectly. The short hike to the top of the hill at the park up all the stairs was a highlight and something that is a must do. The views are spectacular. Nopalito restaurant is amazing Mexican food not to be missed on 9th avenue. Highly recommend this property.

Great comfortable house in a quiet neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

My daughters and I stayed for a mother-daughter getaway for 3 nights. The place is a gem. Comfortable, clean and has all that you need. Perfect location to get you where you need to go or just hang out. Felix is so accommodating and responds quickly which is nice so you're never guessing on what or how to do things. Got to practice my parking on a hill skills, we always found a place to park close enough to the house. This place is on my go to list for the next time I visit the city.

Excellent VRBO accommodation

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this wonderful home for 5 nights and were extremely happy we did. Great location, comfortable furniture and bedding, clean and well equipped. We are fussy travellers, but this property exceeded our expectations and we hope to book there again for next year. Thanks Felix!

Wonderful apartment, close to Golden Gate Park

  • 4 of 5

A beautiful, really well equipped apartment close to Golden Gate Park and with good transport links. We stayed with two 8 year old boys and they really enjoyed the outdoor courtyard. Felix was very easy to deal with.

Beautiful clean home

  • 5 of 5

My family of four - two teenagers - stayed in this home for a three day trip into San Francisco. This home did not disappoint and was a great comfortable space for us to come back to each day after playing in the city. I am kind of picky when it comes to cleanliness so my biggest compliment is I walked around barefoot in the house. :)

Sleep: There are two bedrooms with a queen sized bed in each room. There is a couch in the living room but it is not a pull out. Couch is super roomy and comfy for sleeping though.

Kitchen: Fully stocked. Grocery store within walking distance.

Location: It is a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to Golden Gate Park. The train picks you up about 5 minutes from the house. I think our longest train ride was 45 minutes to go on the Alcatraz tour but we didn't mind it. It's part of the culture of the city! Be advised the house is located at the top of a hill so there is about a 1/2 mile climb from the train to the house. I liked it - felt like I was burning some calories after all the yummy food in the city!

Things to Do: My 13 and 15 year old loved Alcatraz but the highlight of the trip was our Streets of San Francisco bike tour. It is located in a revitalized area of town and is super hip and fun! Within the same park corner as the bike tour is a GREAT ice cream place - Smitten Ice Cream - they have 4 flavors and make each order individually using some crazy method that takes like 5 minutes! We regretted going to Ghiradellis the day before which was overpriced and nothing special. Plan to spend some time in the area before or after the tour! We completed the 9 mile, 3 hour tour and had a great experience!! Gives you a real feel for the city.

Owner's Response: Dear Carrie, Thanks for the kind review! Would love to host you and your family again if you return to SF. I just purchased a brand new set of couches for the living room, including a sleeper sofa, so there is extra space if needed. Glad to hear you had a fun time in the city, and please let me know if anything brings you back to SF. Best, Felix

Spacious, tastefully decorated living space

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The place is just as advertised (comfortable, quiet, very clean) and on street parking was easy. There are restaurants close by and a great neighborhood supermarket. Felix was very pleasant to deal with and responsive to our questions. We would definitely consider staying here again if we ever make it back to see San Francisco.
