Rattlesnake Retreat is an updated 2-story townhome in the Redlands (The Ridges- On Rattlesnake Ct.) is a fantastic retreat while enjoying all the Grand Valley has to offer. It is walking distance to Redlands Mesa Golf Course and neighborhood parks, complete with tennis courts and playgrounds. Over 1600 square feet in this 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath home with a 2-car garage. After a day of wine tasting, mountain or road biking, relax on the large deck with golf course and Monument views.

The master bedroom and second bedroom are upstairs with 2 full baths. Office/bedroom is on first floor. The townhouse is passive solar and has a solar sunroom. There is a digital thermostat-controlled evaporative cooler, forced heat, newer appliances, and a wood-burning stove. Two flat screen tv’s and wifi will make you feel at home. Enjoy the large deck with propane gas grill and patio furniture to eat and relax.

Hiking and biking trails are literally just out the front door. Ride single-track in the Ridges or down the hill at the famed Lunch Loop and Tabeguache Trails, or road bike the Colorado National Monument, with access to the west side right up the road. It’s less than ten minutes to downtown Grand Junction and centrally located to both Fruita and the Palisade wine country. Redlands Mesa Golf Course is an award winning public course, so bring all your gear.

In January, 2016 we made some improvements. New living room furniture, dining room furniture and stainless appliances have been added, as well as a complete update of the master shower. We hope you will enjoy these.

My husband is winding down to the last few years of working. My background in the hotel industry is a good fit for the vacation rental business. In 2013 we moved from Grand Junction to Tucson, where I put this townhouse on VRBO/Homeaway with immediate rave reviews. With our plan to retire and summer in Grand Junction on hold, we bought a condo in the AZ White Mountains to use as a vacation rental. We recently sold it to another family to use as a VRBO. As this is my business, I travel between my properties fixing and stocking up on things for my guests to enjoy. We now have a second property in Grand Junction; a condo at Lakeside, which sleeps 4.

Why Wendy Weinberg chose Grand Junction

We purchased this townhouse to use as a second home and for our future retirement. We raised our family nearby in the Redlands and always liked the Ridges. I lived here for four months to make sure our home is a great choice for your vacation stay. When we bought it we had no idea how much we would enjoy the hiking and biking right outside the door. There are so many trails, you won't do the same one twice. I never tire of sitting on the large deck and looking at The Monument and golf course.

What makes this townhome unique

Location, Location, Location! The Ridges has so much too offer. Hiking, biking and golf are right out the front door. It is only 5 minutes to downtown Main Street. Once inside the townhome, you are charmed by its serenity. We love the large deck for relaxing and entertaining and the views of the golf course, mountains and Colorado National Monument are fabulous. It is unique with a passive solar heating system complete with a solar sunroom. It is spacious with 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a garage.

Peaceful neighborhood with access to all kinds of recreation

Great house in a quiet neighborhood; many trails to hike, run or mountain bike right out the door; also close to Colorado Mounument, the Mesa, Fruta MTB trails, etc. We loved the deck with BBQ and seating. Kitchen is nice ; everything clean and good working order. We will be back!

Clean, comfortable - perfect for our cycling retreat

This was second year we have stayed at Wendy's town home for our women's cycling training weekend - very comfortable, clean and spacious. Wendy had great communication before and during our three night stay. I would recommend her to anyone - families, friends traveling together...

Location Location Location

The townhouse was comfortable in every way and certainly met the needs for the two of us. We liked the close location to Redlands Mesa golf course, the Colorado National Monument entrance and the biking trail. We also found it but a short trip (10 min.) to Old Town for pizza pick-up or a gourmet meal. The weather and our schedule did not allow for patio time, but it was nice to have available with the lush green view of the driving range. With only two of us we were able to use the two bathrooms upstairs to quickly dress or recover from our activities. We didn't use the kitchen except for breakfast so can't comment on that. We certainly enjoyed our stay and appreciated Wendy's suggestions for wineries, hikes, and restaurants as well as "checking in" with us on our arrival to see if all was okay. Our only suggestion would be for better sheets/bedding as the bottom sheet kept slipping off. We recommend this property!
