Great vacation place

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake Gogebic Retreat. The home is spacious, well kept and very comfortable. The deck was a wonderful place to unwind after a day of hiking and four wheeling. The view was amazing. Len was a very gracious host and the home was just what it is advertised as. We had a wonderful week making memories and loved every minute!

Outstanding House and Beautiful Location

  • 5 of 5

This is a perfect place for a quiet family vacation. The house is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and very quiet! Great amenities including the pool table, sauna, and of course beautiful Lake Gogebic. The kitchen is clean and amply supplied for cooking meals and eating in. Satellite TV (which we didn't use) and strong WiFi (which we did). The location is a good base for day trips to the Porcupine Mountains and Ottawa National Forest. Thanks for the opportunity to stay here.

Beautiful home, great location.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time! The veiw was wonderful and we were able to fish right out front. Comfortable and spacious. Almost like vacationing at home. We loved the fireplace and sauna. The open floorplan was great as well, we did elaborate meals and the cooks were not left out of conversations and fun. We'll be back. Thank you!

Fantastic snowmobile vacation home!

  • 5 of 5

A very clean, well appointed, well maintained home on the shore of Lake Gogebic. Communication with the owner was excellent. Home is directly across the street from access to snowmobile trail #1. I would definitely stay here again!

Christmas in the UP

  • 4 of 5

Everything was better than expected. The space was large enough for our family of 7 adults. Actually the space was larger than expected. It was extremely clean and the kithcen was well stocked with all the pots, pans and baking dishes needed to make our holiday meals. The location was perfect for our day of skiing and another day for snowmobiling. The fireplace was great and there was plenty of split wood to burn. Thank you for putting a few holiday decor around, that made it even more like home for the holidays.

I gave this property 4 stars instead of 5 because it was inconvenient and messy to haul our garbage down to a neighbor's dumpster. We were glad it was winter so we could freeze it before hauling it away. Also, the basement space was cold compared to the main level even when we were not using the fireplace.

We would stay here again.

Great Winter/Snowmobile Getaway

  • 4 of 5

Our family stayed for a week in February. We snowmobiled for 4 days/fished 2. The property is great and home clean/spacious. Great "mud room" to take off/store all the snow gear/clothing. The driveway was plowed well and plenty of room for our 4 place snowmobile trailer without having to back in/out. Trail access across the road or on the lake. Caught walleye straight out from the house. We had a minor issue at the beginning of the stay but the owner was easy to reach and resolved promptly. We appreciate this retreat being pet friendly so we didn't have to leave our furry family members behind. We will be back.
