Annapolis is a charming seaport town on the Chesapeake Bay with a 5-10 minute walk to the US Naval Academy. Water taxi transportation is available around the creeks leading to the Bay. It is only a 45 minute drive to both Baltimore and Washington DC. It is a 2 hour drive to many beach towns including the Lewes Ferry to Cape May. The Shenendoah Mountains are a 2 hour drive from here and beautiful in the Fall. If you just want to stay put in Annapolis, there is plenty to do with malls, movies, dining, sight seeing, state capital buildings and architecture to admire and history. You can always catch the Wednesday night sail boat races on Spa Creek in the Summer and their spinnaker finish with colorful sails. The largest on water boat show is scheduled here in Annapolis every October. You will fall in love with the cobble stone streets and the friendliness of Annapolis
