About Donna Adams

We moved to Kenora in 1999 from Winnipeg. Peter is a Pharmacist, I (Donna) am a Mortgage Specialist with RBC and our daughter is away at University. We love our lake and hope you will enjoy it too!

Donna Adams purchased this cottage in 1999

Why Donna Adams chose Kenora

We completed our loft in 2013 with all brand new construction. We had room on the property to build this loft/guest cottage in a setting with no direct view of our home to ensure privacy. We welcome you to our property and hope you enjoy what we see. We moved to Kenora to enjoy the lake life on a full time basis and have never regretted it!

What makes this cottage unique

Sit on the dock and watch the sun go down while listening to the loons. Or, sit by a bonfire and roast wieners and s'mores while telling fish stories. Or, spend a sunny afternoon jumping off the water trampoline and enjoy swimming in our beautiful lake. Or, rent a boat and spend a lazy afternoon fishing or waterskiing. So much to offer.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful spot! The loft was clean, had a good lay out and well equipped with everything we needed during our stay... even beach towels! Peter and Donna were very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We made good use of the canoes and hot tub. Peter took our entire family on a boating tour of the area. Thank you for a wonderful spot to spend the weekend and gather as a family!

Always nice visiting the Kenora area.

  • 4 of 5

The loft was really nice and had an open concept which made it easy when preparing meals. There were large windows that looked out into the woods from the bedrooms, living and dining rooms, and kitchen which made the loft private.

The walk to the beach and fire pit was short. The beach was beautiful and the dock was perfect for our boat. The kids really enjoyed the water trampoline.

We loved our stay. Everything from the holiday home to the lakeside view to the water trampoline was just fantastic and Donna and Peter were the perfect (and very kind) hosts. Thank you for the fishing, boating, tubing experiences. You gave us a holiday to remember!

This was our first EVER trip to Canada and using a VRBO listing. This was definitely a "Home away from Home" experience. My husband & I traveled with a friend's family of 4 (6 people) and the accommodations were MORE THAN adequate - spacious, clean, lots of towels, dish towels, silverware, dishes (THE DISHES - OH WAY - were what I would say you would find in a 5 star restaurant). The atmosphere / hospitality - OMG - Donna, Peter, their dogs & the neighbors dogs - it was like visiting with long lost friends the minute we should up. We could ask them for almost anything (except for maybe $100K - giggle giggle) - we ate meals together (taking turns doing the cooking), we were allowed to use the hot tub WHENEVER we wanted, the water trampoline was AWESOME, fishing of the dock, & if video taped, someone could have incriminating evidence of 40-year old women running & jumping off the dock like teenage kids - cause that is JUST HOW YOU FELT - like a teenager. Oh - and lets not forget about the fishing - OH THE FISHING - LOTS OF FISH. The only thing is that there are lots of stairs (about 10) to climb - we didn't mind it - but some might. Mind you - NONE of us had ever met Donna or Peter (just phone calls & emails) and it was truly HOME AWAY FROM HOME - "living" next to long lost friends. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Donna & Peter - you have made this our "go to Canada spot". - Wayne & Tina Meyers.
