Ski Enthusiasts Avoid The Tram! Summer Guests-Enjoy Village Pool Access!

This cabin is directly adjacent to our other VRBO Property #590729 (Check it out) and shares a common driveway and parking area. Rent them both for large parties like family reunions, men's and women's retreats, church staff retreats and couples retreats.

Our non-smoking, pet-free, cozy and relaxing 3 bedroom chalet is situated perfectly above Gatlinburg for ski enthusiasts and within 4/10th of a mile from Ober Gatlinburg and the Chalet Village Pool, Tennis Courts and Clubhouse. During the warm months as members of the Chalet Village Owners Association you will enjoy unlimited and free access to any three of the chalet village managed pools with Tennis courts and game rooms. Our chalet is a smoke free and pet free property and evidence of smoking inside the property or a pet on the property is strictly prohibited and will result in the full forfeiture of the damage deposit.

Guests can get down to Gatlinburg quickly (5 minutes) and enjoy a myriad of outstanding restaurants, unique shops and after dinner treats and then get back quickly to the cozy confines of your home away from home. Our cabin features a gated entrance to keep out unwanted guests and offers ample parking including a paved driveway and parking area.

When bad weather strikes, your close proximity (I can throw a snowball to ski mountain road :) ) to Ski Mountain Road ensures you can always get in and out as this road is always treated to ensure tourists can access Ober Gatlinburg and Downtown Gatlinburg to keep those tax dollars flowing.

These are just a few of the benefits of the wonderful location for our chalets. In addition, we have quick and easy access to the GSMNP via the Gatlinburg bypass.

We also own an adjacent A frame property located right next door that shares the same parking area so we can accommodate large parties and family get togethers. Download and print off the Log Cabin Welcome Pack and bring with you on your stay because it contains important information to make your stay more enjoyable.

If you decide you want to stay with us when you are prepared to pay there are some attachments at checkout that you will need to print off. First, there is our contract which will need to be signed by you. You can then scan and fax or scan and email the signed contract back to us. I have included a fax number and a couple of email addresses you can use to return the signed contract. Secondly, there is a log cabin welcome pack that you will want to print off and bring with you on your visit. The welcome pack contains valuable and pertinent information to make your stay less stressful and more enjoyable. In the event you forget the welcome pack (i would) you can email me once you arrive and I will send it to you.

We are a family of five with two rental properties in Chalet village and a lake house on Douglas Lake for rent. We cherish our friends, family, our faith in God and our bulldog Weezy. One teenage boy and two in college keep us busy as we adjust to our children leaving the nest. We would love for you to stay with us on your next visit.

Very convenient to All the local attractions but close enough to get back to your chalet for a night of rest and relaxation without spending your vacation stuck in traffic.

What makes this chalet unique

Summer Guests-You will have Chalet village Pool access (1/10 mile is the closest) with three pools to choose from as part of the of Chalet Village Owners Association. A nice playground, two tennis courts and a clubhouse are adjacent to the pool with ample seating for sunbathing or reading your favorite book.

Winter guests - Ober Gatlinburg is a short walk so you can avoid the tram and parking nightmares of Ober

Convenient to the park via the bypass and easily access Gatlinburg's vast array of unique shops and restaurants.

Our chalet village owner passes entitle you as a guest to use any (3) of the Chalet Village swimming pools and/or tennis courts. These passes also entitle you to special discounts at restaurants and attractions in the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area. So don’t be bashful, take the passes with you and save some money, up to 20% off at the Best Italian Restaurant in Gatlinburg, a local favorite. Many other restaurants offer discounts so ask when you order and don’t forget to tip on the full amount of the bill before the discount so local merchants don’t resent Chalet Village owners or guests.

Nice, clean chalet in a good location

First, let me say the chalet is very nice and we enjoyed our stay. It was in a great location and it was easy to get to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg quickly.

This would be a 5-star review if there hadn't been a mixup between the owners and guests who had booked their other property (the A-frame next door). When we arrived the guests who were supposed to be in the A-frame had been given the wrong checkin info and were in the chalet instead. Since they weren't in the A-frame cabin we did have a place to stay that night but it was frustrating to arrive and not be able to settle in with our kids for multiple days like we expected. The owners did work with us to make it up to us or the review would be rated less.

Once we were able to settle into the chalet the next afternoon we were very pleased with it. The downstairs living area was clean and spacious. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils needed. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms with extras in the linen closet. The couch and chairs were comfy and there were plenty of blankets and pillows for getting comfortable.

The layout of the chalet would be perfect for more than one family, with the downstairs bedroom and bath having an extra door between them and the kitchen for extra privacy. The two bedrooms upstairs were very large and there was plenty of room in the master for two pack-n-plays for our youngest.

We had two bear encounters while we were staying. The second morning we woke up and found that a bear had tried to get into the tonneau cover on the back of our truck (which was empty except for our stroller). Another afternoon we looked out and saw a bear coming down the the front steps. It looked to just be a cub and because of all the balconies we were able to watch it from a distance while it explored the hillside.

One of the reasons we booked was for the playground and pool at the nearby owners club, but it rained almost every day we were there so we never made it up there.

All in all it was a good vacation and we'd definitely consider staying here again.

The chalet was roomy and comfortable. We enjoyed the location to Gatlinburg and Ober Ski Resort. We would definitely rent again if we are in the area!

Wonderful Cabin and Great Hosts!

We've stayed at this cabin 2 years in a row and both the property and hosts have been wonderful. Joel and Beth are very helpful and take pride in their property. The cabin is very comfortable with plenty of space and having access to the clubhouse/pool is great for families. It is a quiet retreat that we have really enjoyed. Highly recommend!

Our chalets are centrally located and very convenient to downtown Gatlinburg's most popular restaurants (the Peddler, Calhouns and Cherokee Grill) and attractions (Dollywood, Ober Gatlinburg, Hillbilly Golf and Ripleys Acquarium) so you can get in and out with ease. Located only 5 minutes from the National Park you can hike Mt. LeConte, Clingmans Dome, and Newfound Gap.

Some of our renters walk to Ober Gatlinburg to avoid the parking issues and the cost of using the Tram to access the lodge during the busy winter months.
