My wife and I live in Fort Collins, Colorado, where we have always wanted to own a second home in the mountains. We found it a few months ago when visiting family members who own a business in Cripple Creek.
Phil and Vicki Palmer purchased this bungalow in 2013
Close in, fully remodeled, low utility costs, all that we needed when staying in Cripple Creek.
Everything is included for a night or weekend stay:
DISH TV, washer, dryer, shower and tub, refrigerator stove and microwave.
It's a nice place. Bit chillier than colorado spring.. But you will get 49 cent awesome breakfast nearby..Phill is very cool and helpful.I took little bit of guidence from him.
The Palmers are the nicest folks I have ever dealt with while renting online. Their home is super cozy and Cripple Creek is a very cute town to visit. Everyone is so friendly. Their home is very cozy and has everything you could imagine for a very comfortable visit. These folks went way above and beyond by putting in the 4th side of a fence to make certain our dogs were safe! Unbelievably kind. I highly recommend this home. It's in walking distance from the town and from what we heard, about the same price of the hotel rooms but we got a better night's sleep due to the quiet home.
The home was perfect for our three person, quick getaway. Property is convenient to activities in town, but far enough to be quiet and relaxing. Thanks.
Thanks to Phil and his wife, we spent a nice weekend retreat in Cripple Creek during the annual Donkey Derby Days. We enjoyed everything Cripple Creek had to offer and it was close to Colorado Springs. The bungalow is close (short walk downhill) to downtown Cripple Creek. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and the view of Pikes Peak. I recommend this rental for anyone visiting this area.
Adorable two bedroom with all of the amenities for nice time away from home! Owners are responsive and very friendly; genuinely concerned about their guests. My husband and I enjoyed walking from the house to restaurants and casinos; we also walked to the jail/museum at the end of town. We will definitely try to book this VRBO next time we are in Cripple Creek!
We stayed at Phil and Vickie's charming Victorian Bungalow while in CC for the Ice Festival. The owner's are very easy to work with and the bungalow is so cute and charming while being very comfortable. I love historical homes but many of them aren't as comfortable as they are visually appealing - this one manages to do both very well. It is less than 2 blocks off the main street (where the Casinos are) but it's a very quiet location. The beds were comfortable, sheets were nice, house was very clean, TV had a nice sharp picture and the kitchen had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks to Phil and Vickie for sharing their CC home with us.
Historic mining town with museums, narrow gauge train, gold mining tours, underground mining museum/tour, 110 year old jail/museum, visitor center.
Small town situated at 9400 feet above sea level. Sound financial local government with shuttle bus services at nominal cost.
Half a dozen special events from Donkey Derby Days to a Winter Ice Festival.
