Located in the heart of the charming and fashionable Marais neighborhood (4th arrondissement) in the center of Paris, this fully renovated and beautifully maintained apartment possesses the perfect balance of historic beauty combined with high-tech modern conveniences: from ultra high-speed fiber optic WIFI Internet, to a state-of-the-art Miele clothes washer and dryer. Ideal for couples, individuals, or a couple of friends who want to spend the perfect holiday in an authentically Parisian apartment without sacrificing any modern comforts, this apartment is a luxurious and incredibly comfortable haven in the heart of one of the most desirable and safe neighborhoods to be in. Located on the 3rd floor (2nd by European standards) with an elevator right to the door of the apartment, this apartment looks onto two beautiful and quiet courtyards making it a particularly peaceful haven. Foodies will fall in love with the array of eateries surrounding the apartment and some of the best restaurants in the city, and those with a taste for fashion will find themselves in the middle of a seemingly unending labyrinth of designer boutiques mixed among high fashion shops and art galleries.
LOCATION: As a resident of a centuries-old building on a beautiful winding granite cobbled street, which even by Parisian high standards is considered a particularly beautiful and charming street, you will have museums, art galleries, incredible food and the latest in fashion at your doorstep. It is also just steps away from the beautiful Place des Vosges, numerous museums, parks and the river quays for romantic walks along the Seine. Additionally, the shops and restaurants in this neighborhood have the unique distinction of being open on Sundays, a rarity in Paris, which gives you the convenience of having everything you need available to you 7 days a week. The neighborhood is so popular on Sundays that the streets are closed off to cars and the area becomes a pedestrian zone for the day.
SLEEPING: Fall asleep on the highest quality mattress and crisp white pressed linens on a 160cm x 200cm bed (larger than a US queen size bed) that ensures very restful nights in the bedroom. Additionally, the sofabed in the living room amazes guests with its comfortable and incredibly firm full-size mattress that is 160cm x 200cm (also larger than a US queen size bed). The glass wall between the living room and bedroom has a black-out curtain that slides across for privacy or to keep the bedroom dark for someone who likes to sleep late while others enjoy the living room. The large windows fill the apartment with natural light year-round, while the black-out shades on all the windows allow you to sleep late or go to bed early if you need to transition to the time change; this is particularly useful in the summer when it can be light out until as late as 11:00pm!
* 2 guests are asked to use 1 bed. If 2 guests would like to use separate beds, please indicate 3 guests when making the booking.
EATING: A white stone counter top and white glass cabinets conceal a full service kitchen that is ideal for picking up food at local markets and at nearby bakeries, cheese, chocolate and wine shops and enjoying in the apartment. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, oven-microwave, cook-top, and built-in aeration hood and lighting. A short walk from one of the biggest open-air food markets in Paris at the nearby Bastille, foodies will find themselves in culinary heaven with both internationally lauded haute-cuisine, as well as up and coming restaurants and bistrots surrounding the apartment.

I fell in love with this property because of its incredible location in the heart of the city on a beautifully picturesque street, combined with the historic charm of the surrounding Marais neighborhood (with its famous food and fashion boutiques and museums). Add to that the fact that there is an elevator (only 1 in 200 buildings in this historic area have elevators) and that it has sweeping views over the city, this is truly a special place.

Wonderful apartment in fantastic location
This apartment in the heart of the Marais District was just perfect for our week-long stay in Paris. The location just can't be beat in that it's easy walking distance to many of the key sights and quick access to the Metro and Batobus for locations farther afield. The owner provided all the information we needed both in advance and upon arrival, including restaurant recommendations in the area (we tried several and they were great!). The apartment itself was just lovely...beautiful decor, very well maintained and stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. I loved that there was a washer/dryer in the apartment as well as a hairdryer. The building had an elevator that really made a difference on arrival and departure day to get large suitcases up to the 2nd floor. Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone and would certainly stay there again if we have the opportunity to return to Paris!
Deluxe birthday getaway in theMarais
Great location in Paris for exploring. So many excellent restaurants in the neighborhood. The apartment was incredibly well designed. Big shower , comfortable bed , washer dryer was great for our longer stay. Smoothe flexible check in/out. You won't be disappointed here.
Great location and amenities!
This wonderful apartment is in the heart of Le Marais, a wonderful neighborhood full of boutiques and bistros. My daughter and I felt totally safe walking everywhere. The apartment is very comfortable and well appointed. The attention to detail is apparent everywhere you look! The bed is large and comfortable, the bathroom is fully updated with a great shower....the two most important things when I travel! Although we never had a meal "at home", it was nice to have the option and a large refrigerator for beverage storage. I would happily rent this beautiful apartment again.
This place is a gem.
Don't hesitate. Book this place now. You'll thank me. Located in a hidden courtyard in the heart of the Marais - the coolest district in Paris - a mere two minute walk from the St. Paul's Metro - this apartment melds the historic and the contemporary. The building and the original limestone walls are 200 years old, but Christophe and Michael (the owner and architect) have managed to shoehorn into this place every possible modern convenience. You could spend several hours marveling over the ingenious architectural touches and design choices. The king-sized bed is heavenly and the sheets have a thread count that is off the charts. Warm towels (on the towel heater) await you in the morning as does instant hot water in the shower. When you arrive Christophe and Michael have a bottle of French wine on the table, a package of Madeleines in the secret cupboard (behind the fire place), vials of coffee for the Nespresso machine and a bottle of shampoo in the shower. The Pompidou and the Picasso Museum are within walking distance as is Notre Dame. You can be at the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre in 10 minutes on the Metro. And in the Marais every other shop seems to be serving mouth watering pastries, local cheeses or gigantic falafels. There's also matzoh ball soup and pastrami sandwiches right around the corner at Schwartz's Deli. Finally, know that with a host like Michael, you're in good hands. We had an issue with a noisy neighbor, and when I e-mailed Michael he said, "I'll be right over." He knocked on the neighbor's door and told them to knock it off. Problem solved. I stayed here with my wife - for four days. Next time, we'll stay longer. The place can also accommodate four people - perfect for a family with two kids.
The perfect Paris Retreat
My daughter and I stayed at this incredible property from March 20-26, 2018. Michael is the most attentive owner we have had the pleasure to rent from. He was incredibly responsive to all my emails, answering precisely and promptly. He provided detailed instructions that were very helpful before our arrival and also at the apartment during our stay. He even was able to accommodate our morning arrival for an early check in.
The apartment is beautifully renovated, very comfortable and a perfect place to relax. It has all the amenities we could hope for. It is bright, clean, very quiet with plenty of windows and light, excellent heating. For a small foot print apartment there was plenty of space for our needs. Grocery stores and specialty shops are close by as well as boulangeries for fresh bread/croissants. We made breakfast each morning and the kitchenette had all we needed with induction stove top, microwave and oven combination and a good sized refrigerator and dishwasher. Michael supplied plenty of Nespresso capsules for our morning espresso during our stay as well as Madeleines.
The Apartment is perfectly located for exploring Paris by Metro or on foot and there are excellent Restaurants as well as shopping within a 5 minute walk. After a long day of exploring, it was a pleasure to come home and relax with a glass of excellent wine that Michael provided as a gift! I find this apartment to be a unique opportunity, very affordable, in the heart of Marais close to main attractions, transportation, shopping and restaurants, and comfortable and quiet. My daughter slept in the pull out bed and I slept in the bedroom, both were comfortable and we slept well every night. We will definitely come back.
Modern with old French charm
What a gem of a place! My husband and I decided to spend Spring break in Paris. As many have noted, Michael was incredibly responsive from the beginning to the end. The location is in the middle of old Le Marais area with wonderful restaurants, bakeries, butcher shops, chocolate shops, quirky shops and museums. You can't pick a better location. Although you can take the Metro from St. Paul station to anywhere in Paris, we walked to many locations- easily achieved daily 10k steps on our Fitbits!
The apartment was very clean , functional and was great for the two of us. You can tell a lot of attention had gone into preparing a place for renters like us including welcoming touches like a bottle of wine, cookies, tea and coffee.
We had a wonderful time spending early spring in Paris. As with last time in Paris, we left with fond memories. Thank you!
The apartment is located in the heart of the city, in the Marais, which is the oldest and best preserved neighborhood in Paris (the street the apartment is on was created in the 1100s and is one of the most beautiful in the city, paved in granite, and lined with 19th century street lamps). The surrounding area is full of restaurants, art galleries, and high-fashion shopping. The apartment is within walking distance of numerous museums and monuments, including the Picasso Museum, the Carnavalet Museum (the museum of the history of Paris), the beautiful place des Vosges, Notre Dame Cathedral, and numerous others. Additionally, it is only a 2 minute walk from the apartment to the St. Paul metro station, which is on the high-speed modern automated Line 1 (the yellow line) that goes right through the heart of the city directly to numerous monuments and sites, such as the Musée du Louvre and Arc de Triomphe.
